I see what you mean about having two different .44 cartridges not being worthwhile and just making the original .44 a .44 magnum. That would be consistent with the base game using the .44 in the Anaconda and Desert Eagle. It would also make the Peacemaker more relevant in the early game. With a lower power .44, the Peacemaker is really outclassed by the 9mm semis because of its AP disadvantages as a single action revolver. But with more power per shot, there would be a more interesting trade-off. And you've already fixed the base game's balance problem with the 1894's super high damage, so that's good.
One way to further differentiate between the Peacemaker and the Anaconda if they both use the same ammo (besides the Anaconda's greater modification potential) would be to lower the AP cost for the Anaconda because it's a double action revolver.
Anyway, thanks for your continued dedication to JA3 modding. I'm looking forward to the next update to your main mod.
