there should be, you have to put out the flames first.

Nope, not really, i forgot a bucket or something and i didn't want to go back to base just for a damn bucket :D Running through the fire is possible and doesn't even do that much damage. The battery is located on the right side, right after you enter the ship.

Exactly what I did. In fact I built a bridge over the fire so I wouldn't get burnt.

I felt so lucky when I came across the crashed ship and realised I had my box o buckets with me.
