Yes, the is exactly what I am doing... the issue however is that when items on either side of the filter are full it causes lag (frame rate drop)
This was to test out different in and outs along with checking functions of filters getting oil from a chest AND accept only fuel into it..
That worked but chests broke until I removed the filters then had to go down the entire line of craft bot in / out chests removing them out of the loop then putting them back in the loop so I was able to put things in that chest again..
I then tried a fuel container and that filled with fuel even though I was crafting concrete & fuel randomly..
However..! when the fuel can had filled to 4 fuel stacks of 50 the last stack only filled to 45.
(Mine go to 50 normal is 30 or something)..
Anyway, the fuel was still being stacked at 8 units at a time in a different chest.
This craftbots standard production of 8 units at a time wouldn't of fit in that fuel can so it ejected out of that can and settled in the nearest storage case..
This tells me that it's not possible to do as the storage cases would just keep filling UNLESS..
There was a water filter pipe somehow looping back to the water storage container..
If so there's 1 bottle of water flying through your cases pipe network but having nowhere to settle because the water storage area the filter is steering that 1 bottle is full..
Test =
1.. Turn off water pump and cancel any working craft bot job..
2.. Check water container is 100% full in all 5 water slots.
3.. Grab the filter vacuum pump and pull it out.
4.. If frames return at this point check ALL storage for at least 1 bottle of water..
5.. That's what's causing Lag..
I stake my reputation on it.. True, I don't have a reputation but I'm hoping to get one from this particular instance.
Lol.
Let me know. :)
How these switch in / outs in relation to their filter settings I'm unsure as yet.
Hoping they might turn pump on if Filter value = False
Indicating Water or whatever is set is not at the filters output, therefore water tank is still able to fill.
So power the pump to supply the chest.
Experimentation time. :)
I'm giving these ideas because they're logically sound & it's not everyday I'm able to get in game to check first.
I'm from a fault finding background in Electronics & a Bit of programming so....
(Insert Skeletor "I'm into that ♥♥♥♥" meme here) :)
Even after ripping that 1 filter I have out it's still no/go..
I found you have to remove all filters and take storage cases off and reattach again..
I Reckon the filters may be more suited as single non looped filters for auto farm crop sorting.?
I tried different logic connection options but if glow was there it put it in the case weather the logic was on or off..
I can't seem to get them to play well with loop networks. :(
