The Crafting System is Problematic to The Core
The Crafting system is problematic and needs to be fixed
It's so confusing and annoying. why can't one item be made from blocks and resources???
this unnecessary amount of parts leads to longer more tedious crafting times.
I really wanted to like this mod but i can't simply play like this.
I understand that having all of these parts in one crafting station would be much worse but THIS in'st a solution.

For en example:
in vanila you need some beeswax and wood to make a wheel but in crashlander you need to make the base and the tire and then assemble it to make the whole wheel and all of that is done i MULTIPLE crafting stations!

And its like that for most of the crafting recipes.
The parts that go into crafting are not even that useful, there only use is to craft more stuff.

It' unnecessarily complicated and annoying. I recognise that a lot of hard work went into this mod and that also goes for the crafting mechanics, by making this comment i do not want it to be a personal jab at the creators but recognising the problem that is the crafting system.

When fully automated its not half as bad. Separate parts like the sword blade look excellent when used separately as decoration.

It Requires a bit of blueprint editing in the .json files to have a more creative rotation axis's / weld points but yeah having a real pointed front on a space rocket to try punching through the world dome and get away from Bill etc just seems more possible than a vanilla "small pipe piece".

:)

I'm thinking this is probably the point. It's not vanilla. I think it adds the extra steps to make things like automation more of a viable mechanic instead of just slapping a collector, refiner, and a crafter in a row, set them up to make full items eg; wheels, furniture, etc. (that I have yet to find a way to recycle unneeded/unwanted/overflow items) and calling it good.
Using the extra functionality of the additional steps, gives the ability to expand and create things like multiple assembly lines going into a full factory setup.

I'm pretty new to the game itself so I don't know all the mechanics of it personally, but I think vanilla concepts are too easy and boring as hell.

yeah i get that ,
having assembly lines is really satisfying and fun to look at ,and i start to get why it is like this.
But i don't really enjoy that kind of stuff and i realise that maybe this mod was'nt made for me.
i find it annoying but i get why you like it.

while i agree that having nice decoration pieces in nice , i don't think that should intertwine with the crafting system.
besides an average user won't benefit (or have the knowledge to) form out-of-game blueprint modification

You could also use "/unlimited" and get the parts you need.
Maybe, that´s way to much for you, but maybe you can find a way to live with it.
