did you load it right? the reason why u dont see the buildings indicators is that the dev did it on purpose, u gotta explore it on your own.
And I did not know about the choice to make the "map" without the buildings or roads. For the lack of knowledge, I apologize.
"you just need mod manager. go to the mod loader (sorry if i didnt mention it), click any standalone map first (i.e lost province), then rv interior below it."
does this solution apply for dedicated servers only or does it work in solo play too?
sorry, i dont play multiplayer dude.
The only thing I seem to be able to change is the mod load order - there is no contol/button/dialogue for the map load order in the mod manager interface... Am I missing something here?
Or is changing the mod load order also changing the map load order?
Thank you for your help, I greatly appreciate the RV Interiors mod and would love to have it working along with the map!
i dont remember being there a map load order...? have you checked again? there should be buttons in the mod load order section.
and no problem, glad that i can help
Thanks for trying to fix this issue for me/others!
I tested it now with debug mode on a fresh solo setup (solo game with only ModManager, Lost Provinve & RV Interior + Vanilla Addon installed).
I now made sure to click the mod load order button and placed the rv interor mod right after lost province.
After trying to enter a vehicle's interior, I get the transition to black as usual, but then a message with "interior map hasn't loaded. Return to vehicle now?" appears and it still won't load.
Any ideas what might cause this issue?
FYI:
When I select my spawn, I can select the Lost Province spawns in "world 1".
In "world 2", there's still muldraugh, riverside, rosewood and west point (no idea of how to get rid of them though) - but rv_interior shows up at the end of the list.
I am assuming it should be at the top of this list instead?
P.S. I have two Maps. One with a vanilla map, but with interiors, and there is second map, already with Lost province, but without interiors. Is this supposed to be the case, or is it just a problem with the update itself?
I got it working on a dedicated server, where I have complete control over the map load order via the server.ini that is created upon server creation.
however, I'd like to get it to run in solo mode as well.
Just to make sure I'm understanding you correctly - for solo mode to work you are saying:
1. You begin with a non modded setup
2. Via ModLoader, add the mods RV Interior, Lost Province, in this specific order and click accept.
3. You go to the game files in
\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\2822286426\mods\RV_Interior\media\maps
and copy the folder "vehicle_interior" into the Lost Province mod's map folder located in
\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\3121920070\mods\Lost Province\media\maps
4. You start a new solo game in custom sandbox mode
5. You select "World 1" with for example "Kings County" spawn, hit continue (vehicle_interior still shows up at the bottom in "World 2")
6. You click trough character creation and start up the game.
7. Once you loaded in and try to enter for example a stepvan, the rv interior shold load correctly.
I followed exactly these steps and still it is not working. Could you please elaborate in a little more detail on where I'm going wrong with this?
Thank you!
the rv interior and the basements mod do kind of the same thing, and basement mod shows the same behavior as well ("map hasn't loaded. Return to vehicle now?" showing up in solo mode).
I suppose finding a fix for the RV mod would imply that there's a fix for the basements mod as well.
basically you just go into the vehicle_interior folder (after copying it and put it in Lostprovince\media\maps ) and edit the map, info file to:
lots=Prince Edward Island
fixed2x=true
