Empyrion - Galactic Survival

Reforged Eden 2 Beta
RE2 is boring.
First of all I don't hate RE2 completely BUT when you defeat the Legecy ships for example what you get from them is just a joke for the effort. I mean I kill some of the Legecy ships and all I get is MAXIMUM 1 Legendary Laser MP or Assault Shotgun etc etc. in RE1 the loot was significantly better and the ‘Risk-Reward’ effort was better. Now even in a less than 5 minute fight against the aliens I just lose up to 3 weapons that are already ‘deployable’. Next point, there is no real beginner friendly combat in space at the beginning. I've been to every ground station except the Legecys and they were all from the loot... Oh well. But what bothers me much more is that in RE1 you were able to fight some smaller ships in space even if you didn't have a 100k shield. But there's nothing in between. You either have to have a ship packed with weapons and a massive shield or you just have the hull shot off until the enemy is dead. But I would also like to fight ships slowly at the beginning without having to have such an extreme shield. I don't want to be constantly running ground stations because there's nothing in space that gives you any chance at all. And the pirates are missing... And bandits appear far too rarely

Are you playing RE2 or one of the various forks of it where people messed around with things.

Bandits are the super easy space enemies and they appear just as frequently as in RE1.

For the Legacy you get the quantum processors as well as unique hand weapons if you go to the Sea of Silence.
A way to make a quantum core is planned eventually for another even more end game upgrade.

Loot in RE2 for nearly everything was vastly improved over RE1 and this includes the legacy.

So yeah your experiences don't track with what RE2 has actually changed. Double check that you're playing RE2 and not some knockoff version and that it's up to date and not a really old build.

Well I mean apart from the bandits there isn't really anything interesting to slaughter in space. I just want more options than just a not even handful of choices at the beginning. And no I play RE2 and also without CPU because I have occasionally seen that you change something on the CPU. (I think that was the case in the patch from February or March) I play on a public server that has otherwise left everything as it is with the exception of CPU and weight + more enemies appear. And for the Legecy issue. Well, the ships can NOT be the same because there are no more alien containers in there

I love RE2! But there are some Problems with loot:

Ultra Rare Alien Container. At the end you have 20 Epic Weapons. Ultra Rare should have higher Chance for other loot than just Hand Weapons.

And for Abandoned POIs, as far as i know, you get 2 Quantum Processors every time. That's fair for Depot or Reactor, but the bigger ones maybe should give you 3-4?

Also Explorations Sites:

Digits are harder to fail and you cant use Hacking Software, you only get one Box with 1-2 Data Chips.
Switch are easier and you can use Hacking Software, you get two Boxes so 3-4 Data Chips.

And Exploration Site Supply Caches (dont have done normal ones from Polaris), you get 90% Ore loot. That's okay in terms of value, but not Lore wise. There should be more goods in.

For example, I think the idea that Zirax ships now have more cores is pretty cool. I have to be honest though, you now have to shoot more, which is a shame.

Ah yeah so your server has changed things and you're also playing without CPU. Neither are able to be supported by us, for precisely this reason.

You'd need to talk to your server admin as they have full control over this stuff. You're not really getting the actual RE2 experience as intended by us, you're getting an experience created by someone else and it's impossible for us to know what all they changed or if they made any mistakes merging scenario updates so we can't really help or use any feedback as you're no longer playing RE2 but something else.

Your server admin can change all of that though, so like I said you can speak to them and see if they can make some changes for you.

So the fact that there are more enemies and the CPU is off doesn't change the fact that there isn't a particularly large selection of smaller space enemies.
The server is also freshly set up. Nothing else has changed, we play the normal RE2 scenario without CPU and without weight with more opponents. Of course the one with the CPU falls away clearly but I repeat. The space enemies will not change by activating the CPU
Ok I'll explain the problem in more detail because the pirates are missing and these ‘filler ships’ like Quin Merac or similar ships don't even exist. Or from the raiders the Skaar...The Brothers (The Double Ship) or the Assault Frigate of the Pirates are missing. Or the Hunter... so just small ships which arent that weak but also not that strong and have tons of weapon on them

Yes a lot of factions still need to be updated.
However like I said yes the fact that you're playing without CPU and using modified scenario configs does mean you're no longer playing RE2 and we cannot really help you out or make changes based on your feedback as you're no longer playing RE2 as it's delivered by us in the workshop.
I mean I'm really trying to give your mod a chance but I miss the Swarm Mother launcher alone. It was an awesome reward and symbolisation that you killed her and have something of her with you that's just... Gone and replaced by this XXL Swarm launcher. Also the Thermal Lance was pretty cool how it looks like.

As I said I don't hate everything about your mod there are just some things that are just really hm... too bad they weren't taken over from RE1. The abandoned ground stations and the new ones are mega cool and the boss thing is great. And I hope the Tesch robots look a bit better soon their design is a bit immature^^ The "overlord" station was also cool to raid maybe the entry could be a bit bigger so you can raid this Thing better with a small Hovertank :)

But there are just a few things missing, which is why I'm currently playing on an RE1 server with CPU, because everything is well balanced and you get better rewards when you take on stronger opponents. Also that so many auto-firing guns have been taken away from SV. I mean, of course the weapons for the front have been put more in the spotlight. And again to the point of the Legecys that there 50% of the damage goes through shield is way too much. 35% might be better but what do I know.

Yeah like I said there's a lot that still needs to be updated. Vermilion and I are just two fellow players doing this in our spare time for free. We're not Eleon with like a dozen paid employees who can pump out content and create new game mechanics and all that.

What "other loot" are you expecting? There is already an entire set of T3 weapon modifications, Advanced Armors, Advanced suit boosters, Optronic bridges/matrices, Autominer Cores and Large/Advanced Upgrade kits that drop in ultra rare containers.
There is nothing else in the game that can drop from an ultra rare container that wouldn't detract purpose from elsewhere in the game.
In RE1 ultra rare containers (like vanilla) dropped a couple of medkits, gold ingots and other similarly useless items.

Yeah that makes me think their server has changed more than they let on.

I'm fine with the "other loot", Weapons are far to often in Ultra Rare Containers. But maybe, they have the same chance and i had just bad RNG?
In my experience, i start a game, do some Abandoned POIs and allways end up with ~20 or more Epic/Legendary Weapons.
Well, maybe I'm the one with bad RNG, but in my last run I go like one or two epic weapons in total in the first ~10 abandoned POIs. I already started to think they had been removed...
