Uh i don't know if you fixed your issue, but if not: i wasn't having an issue with crashes, so try seeing first off if there are any mods left active on accident, then if there isn't, check if any of the game files are changed, and if that's not it, try checking if your version of EU4 is up to date.

If that fails, go into documents/europauniversalis/logs/error and there might be clues there, although the mod has it's own minor bugs and errors that are non-consequential.

And assuming you already found out the issue, could you post it here or on your original comment, just for future reference if someone has the same issue?

There is a bug with Ancient Egypt where you keep getting subculture change events repeatedly, on provinces that have already changed over to the subculture.

Same here, the provinces keep switching between the different subcultures and you can get many of them per day. Annoying to the point of being borderline unplayable

I am not getting this issue, and there is a 20 month mean time to happen, so are you sure you don't have some other mod on or something?

Also check the logs and error file.

(edit: i think i know what the problem is. may take a bit to fix.)

This is probably a PDX related bug but if the AI colonizes a disconnected tile the religion and culture do not change. This will cause a new nation to spawn as disorganized, animists which I assume is unintended. This should probably be fixed by adding a check every 5-10 years to give a new culture and religion event to prevent this.

religion spreads to animist automatically, and i think i'm going to add an event that changes unorganized culture provinces.

Cores seem to give autonomy rather than decrease it. (+0.025) so every core eventually goes to 100% autonomy. It's really weird.

This is not a bug, it's to force actually lowering autonomy, and it evens out with being at peace. This is because you don't actually conquer provinces until later.

Famine is eternal or what? I played egypt and got the famine event in all provinces, and the devastation increases infinetly.
when is suppose that the efect stops because i´ve been for 20 years in total famine and I have atleast 30% devastation in all my provinces ( some even in 100%)

The famine is just one country modifier that gives a relatively small amount of devestation.

The real source of devestation is development, each development uses 0.02 global monthly devestation, which is now "food" or "food shortage", each production gives -0.03 (IE it covers the base cost of each production dev AND half another dev point).

It's hard to see, because province view i haven't gotten it working quite right, but if you go into the production menu and go to buildings, you can build farming fishing and road buildings that grant -0.08 12 and 2 respectively, which allow for developing provinces further. The AI is programmed to build this.

Famine should reduce the province dev though until there is no food shortage. In other words your max development is decided by your nation's food production (like Civilization except it's global rather than local)

Production efficiency also gives a minor devestation malus. as production efficiency increases this means in essense provinces can grow larger. Your overall development and the size provinces can grow too is decided by your civilization's surplus production, IE every farmer feeds his familiy, and then a little extra, this extra allows for people to do other things (like be a soldier, a smith etc.) Also Famine was a real life empire-killer for ancient empires.

Also, it means that in order to create grand empires, securing a good food source is vital (just like real life)

The reason for this is vanilla EU4's system eventually causes all provinces to have relatively the same development as development costs get reduced, things get more efficient and nations have more MANA. This forces the player decide where they need to develop, and which provinces to leave undeveloped.
