What is the intensity graph?
After stumbling this add-on, some of you might be a bit confused on how the graph actually works.

To put it simply, Intensity Graph is used to monitor Director activities, this is exceptionally useful for Hard 8 or more mutations, as the graph allows players to check when the director would spawn specials, hence flagged as a cheat command.

However, it has little to no use in normal campaign plays, as the director spawns 4 specials every 45 seconds in normal campaigns instead of the Hard 8 : 8 specials per 15 seconds.

Director activities are the following 4: ( BUILD_UP, SUSTAIN_PEAK, PEAK_FADE, RELAX )

  1. RELAX
    First Stage of the director when the survivor enter the map. you get approximately 30 seconds before the director shifts into the next stage (unless the survivors haven't left the safe area, it is around 90 to 180 seconds). In this time, players should find a good terrain to counter incoming specials.

  2. BUILD_UP
    This is when the director would start spawning specials. Killing infecteds, specials and taking damage (EXCLUDING FRIENDLY FIRE) would gain survivors "Intensity" which is the green gauge that fills up, however killing infecteds and specials from a longer range would not gain survivors any intensity, thus not moving onto the next stage meaning the director will continuously spawn specials every 15 seconds, assuming that you play on Hard 8. Once one of the gauges fill up to the maximum, the director will move on to the next stage, if one of the survivors is incapacitated from the infected and specials only, gauge will fill up to the maximum immediately and trigger the next stage.

  3. SUSTAIN_PEAK
    Specials would stop spawning, the director triggers the next stage after a certain amount of time.

  4. PEAK_FADE
    The gauge would start to decrease, the director triggers the next stage after a certain amount of time.

  5. RELAX
    The gauge would continue to decrease, you will get approximately 30 seconds before the director shifts to the BUILD_UP stage, the director would also shift to the BUILD_UP stage no matter the time if the survivors progressed the campaign of a certain length.

The director can be forced to spawn specials regardless of activity. Map scripts such as DARK WOOD, CHERNOBYL can force the director to spawn specials.

This is based on a person's experience, so there might be inconsistencies and inaccurate information, feel free to correct me if there is any mistakes.

Estimating the "emotional intensity" of each Survivor
  • Represent Survivor Intensity as a value.
  • Increase Survivor Intensity
    1. When injured by the Infected, proportional to damage taken.
    2. When the player becomes incapacitated.
    3. When player is pulled/pushed off of a ledge by the Infected.
    4. When nearby infected dies, inversely proportional to distance.
  • Decay Survivor Intensity towards 0 over time
  • Do NOT decay Survivor Intensity if there are Infected actively engaging the survivor.

Hey, do you think it is possible to sync RGB crosshair with default command combination? I want a dynamic crosshair, and I want dot with RGB at the same time. But modded crosshairs are stable, and I am not sure how to combine commands with the mod.

Refrain from expletives and asking in the inappropriate discussion, sir.

You can make a dynamic rgb crosshair with combination of cl_crosshair_blue, cl_crosshair_red, cl_crosshair_green, and wait command, here is one example of the command combination.

are you planning to make it not conflict with any other huds? maybe possible to make it not dependent on the hud and make it a standalone thing like global radar by placing it in a corner?
most huds probably shouldn't even conflict with the placement in corners

I am afraid not, the intensity graph has a different file mechanic when compared to global radar, since global radar only consists of textures, it can be easily separated, while the graph is a built in game graph that tracks the director activity, so far it's not possible to merge it with other HUDs without conficts.

The intention behind this upload is about bypassing a cheat flagged convar using a resource file, no further changes and extra uploads will be done.
