Addon Information/Guide
made this discussion cuz i was bored.

READ:
XTwisters 2 is currently on a indefinite hiatus due to the main dev (RainbowDoesStuff) taking a break, working on other projects and finding the mod difficult to work with. The addon won't be updated for a long while

XTwisters 2 is a official sequel to XTwisters Classic made by Caiden, Rainbow and a couple others. Unlike other disasters addons this sequel strives to have some form of accuracy with the tornadoes with simulated windfields, physics etc. There isn't just tornadoes though, there will be more phenomena such as weather and disasters

Although it should be obvious, you can find XTwisters 2-related stuff in the "XTwisters 2" tab in the spawnmenu. You can also find the settings for the mod in the second tab.

(as new content is added i will update this discussion accordingly)

Contents:

----------------------------------------XTwisters 2 Outerspace----------------------------------------

Meteor: Spawns a small meteor that has quite a large shockwave radius. Npcs and players struck by the meteor directly will be turned into a charred ragdoll. When spawning the meteor it would actually appear on a random edge of the map and diagonally fall towards the area where you spawned it. Meteors will also have a decent chance to explode in mid air, known as a "airburst". Airburst explosions are more powerful so keep your distance

Meteor Shower: Constantly spawns meteors around the map.
----------------------------------XTwisters 2 Tornadoes---------------------------------------------

Ah yes the main attraction of this addon.
NOTE: As the simulation physics of the tornadoes may change with updates overtime, if something isn't accurate let me know.

General Info:

Tornadoes in this addon are quite unique and complex. As explained above they have realistically simulated windfields (meaning that unlike addons like gdisasters, you don't have to be very close to the tornado for it to affect you) and physics. Depending on the windspeed and weld force(?) tornadoes can cause damage ranging from throwing small props around to absolutely sweeping away structures. Occasionally depending on the tornado particle the tornado can have suction vortices (subvortices) which are small substructures that are usually stronger than the main vortex. You will most likely see these subvorts in "Multiple-vortex tornado" particles. By the way to see information of the tornado you spawned, check the console. Every tornado has unique particles. When in a tornado debris and cloud particles will appear and make it difficult to see. High-End EF3s and higher will make a heavy wind sound.

EF0:
Can have winds ranging from 65-85 mph

As explained from the EF Scale (Info from Wikipedia)
Minor damage.
Small trees are blown down and bushes are uprooted. Shingles are ripped off roofs, windows in cars and buildings are blown out, medium to large branches snapped off of large trees, sheds are majorly damaged, and loose small items are tossed and blown away (i.e. lawn chairs, plastic tables, sports equipment, mattresses). Barns are damaged. Paper and leaves lifted off the ground

EF0 tornadoes usually don't cause much damage. Small-medium sized objects such as barrels will be moved and tossed around and very minor damage can occur to structures, depending on the props used.

According to the code there are 62 EF0 particles and there are 4 types of EF0s

EF-0 Small
EF-0 Large
EF-0 Small Multivortex
EF-0 Large Multivortex

EF1:
Can have winds ranging from 86-110 mph

As explained from the EF Scale (Info from Wikipedia)
Moderate damage
Roofs stripped from shingles or planting. Small areas of roof may be blown off house. Doors and garage doors blown in, siding ripped off houses, mobile homes flipped or rolled onto their sides, small trees uprooted, large trees snapped or blown down, telephone poles snapped, outhouses and sheds blown away. Cars occasionally flipped or blown over, and moderate roof and side damage to barns. Corn stalks slightly bent and stripped of leaves.

Still nothing significant yet, but definitely noticeable. Small and medium- sized props would be greatly tossed around and again depending on the props used to build a structure, some roof and maybe even some wall damage would be visible.

There are 6 types of EF1s
EF-1 Small
EF-1 Large
EF-1 Small Multivortex
EF-1 Large Multivortex
EF-1 Small Anticyclonic
EF-1 Large Anticyclonic

EF2:
Can have winds ranging from 111-135 mph

As explained from the EF Scale (Info from Wikipedia)
Considerable damage
Whole roofs ripped off frame houses, interiors of frame homes damaged, and small, medium, and large trees uprooted. Weak structures such as barns, mobile homes, sheds, and outhouses are completely destroyed. Cars are lifted off the ground.

At this point props would probably begin to orbit the tornado in the air now. Expect complete roof and wall damage to your base. Structures made with weak material (such as wood) would be heavily damaged. Vehicles would probably be lifted by this point.

There are 6 types of EF2s
EF-2 Small
EF-2 Large
EF-2 Small Multivortex
EF-2 Large Multivortex
EF-2 Small Anticyclonic
EF-2 Large Anticyclonic

EF3:
Can have winds ranging from 135-165 mph

As explained from the EF Scale (Info from Wikipedia)
Severe damage
Roofs and numerous outside walls blown away from frame homes, all trees in its path uprooted or lofted. Two-story homes have their second floor destroyed, high-rises have many windows blown out, radio towers blown down, metal buildings (e.g. factories, power plants, construction sites, etc.) are heavily damaged, sometimes completely destroyed. Large vehicles such as tractors, buses, and forklifts are blown from their original positions. Trains can be flipped or rolled onto their sides. Severe damage to large structures such as shopping malls.

Structures with more sturdy material would probably start seeing some damage at this point. Vehicles will be thrown and structures made out of weak material would be completely demolished.

There are 4 types of EF3s
EF-3 Small
EF-3 Large
EF-3 Small Multivortex
EF-3 Large Multivortex

EF4:
Can have winds ranging from 166–200 mph

As explained from the EF Scale (Info from Wikipedia)
Devastating damage
Trees are partially debarked, cars are mangled and thrown in the air, frame homes are completely destroyed and some may be swept away, moving trains blown off railroad tracks, and barns are leveled. High-rises are significantly damaged.

Most structures at this point would be heavily damaged or destroyed, unless made out of the most heaviest props, which speaking off, high-mass props such as containers would begin to be affected by the wind.

There are 4 types of EF4s
EF-4 Small
EF-4 Large
EF-4 Small Multivortex
EF-4 Large Multivortex

EF5:
Winds ranging from 201 to 318 mph.

As explained from the EF Scale (Info from Wikipedia)
Incredible damage
Nearly all buildings aside from heavily built structures are destroyed. Cars are mangled and thrown hundreds, possibly thousands of yards away. Frame homes, brick homes, and small businesses, are swept away, trees debarked, corn stalks flattened or ripped out of the ground, skyscrapers sustain major structural damage, grass ripped out of the ground. Wood and any small solid material become dangerous projectiles.

Basically almost every structure will be swept away. High-mass props will mostly likely be tossed around.

There are 5 types of EF5s
EF-4 Small
EF-4 Large
EF-4 Small Multivortex
EF-4 Large Multivortex

The 5th type of EF5 is the one in only 2013 el reno tornado or as described in the code "El-Reno / The Big One.". Its quite rare though. It has a massive windfield size and it covers about half of the map

Drillbit tornado:

Basically a small tornado that usually have EF4 or EF5 windspeeds.

There are 4 different types of drillbits
Drillbit Small
Drillbit Large
Drillbit Small Multivortex
Drillbit Large Multivortex

Media Tornadoes Remade:

This spawns a tornado that originated from different media, whether that would be a movie, game or something else. These tornadoes would have there appearance and strength recreated from there source. Here are the following media tornadoes currently in the mod.

Tornadoes from the Garry's Mod Storm Chasing Map Series (GMSC)

Tornadoes from the game "Tornado Research & Rescue"

Tornadoes from the movie "Into the Storm"

P.S: This even includes the giant EF5 from the end of the movie, heck even the "merging" sequence was recreated. This tornado is the biggest one in the mod currently, other than the EL reno EF5 variant

Tornadoes from the minecraft "weather2" mod (not sure which version though)

Random Tornado(EFU):

No surveyable damage.
Intensity cannot be determined due to a lack of information. This rating applies to tornadoes that traverse areas with no damage indicators, cause damage in an area that cannot be accessed by a survey, or cause damage that cannot be differentiated from that of another tornado.

This option spawns a tornado with a random particle and windspeed ranging from 65 to a whopping 350.

----------------------------------XTwisters 2 Weaponry---------------------------------------------

Nuclear Weapon: Uses the same system that the meteor uses to simulate a shockwave. When exploded, the thermal radiation will set fire to anything in a large radius and the shockwave will decimate anything in its path

1500 pound explosive: A bomb that produce a medium-sized explosion when exploding. Keep your distance

----------------------------------XTwisters 2 Whirlwinds-----------------------------------------------------
This category is for different types of whirlwinds.

Dust Devil:

A very weak, sandy vortex. Can be as strong as a EF0 in which it can throw props around.

Gustnado:

A quite weak vortex however it can be as strong as a EF0 or EF1. Can toss props around and cause slight damage

Fire Whirl:

A firey vortex, can be as strong as a EF0 to a EF3. As you would probably guess everything around the fire whirl would be set on fire so keep caution.

Fire Tornado: A tornadic-firewhirl complete with a spinning wall cloud. Can have EF2 to EF5 windspeeds and of course set things on fire.

----------------------------------"XTwizzlers3"/"XBlisters"-----------------------------------------------------

This catagory is mainly for funny or unrealistic content.

Sharknado: The one and only Sharknado from the Asylum movie series of the same name had made its way into the mod. The particles for this are also recreations from some of the sharknadoes in the movies, including the "shark god" sharknado (purple laser one). The sharknado can have windspeeds from 90 to 300 mph (ef0 to ef5). When spawned in it plays the sharknado theme song from the movies. After a few seconds have past sharks will begin to appear and be thrown from the tornado. Sharks will explode on impact and the explosion will push objects away.

"Realistic" Tornado:
Can have windspeeds of 136 to 200 mph

A tornado with particles scaled to how tall tornadoes are in real life

F12:
Can have windspeeds of 660 to 738 mph

A joke tornado about how the original Fujita scale went up to 12
As you can tell from the windspeed this tornado is unbelievably powerful, nothing will be left from this one.

F-35 Lightning:
I kid you not the windspeed is 6969

Some joke that originated from xtwisters classic.
This "tornado" is a firenado in disguise and it spams meteors. Oh and it also spams the chat with the goofy ahh Gen A terms, jokes from the developers and other goofy ahh stuff.

"The Flying Black Orb":

Not sure if this is based off of anything but Its a giant orb in the sky that generates 1000000 mph winds. Will absolutely destroy everything to oblivion and probably your computer.

---------------------------------------XTwisters 2 Weather------------------------------------------------------------
XTwisters 2's take on weather.

Like the tornadoes to see the info on the windspeed, weld force or other info, check the console. Also if you want the result you want keep re spawning the weather your trying to spawn in

Rainstorm: Simple rain, nothing to bad. Can have 0-5 mph winds

Moderate Rainstorm: Stronger rainstorm to the point where visibility is hindered. Can have 0-10 mph winds

Heavy Rainstorm: A much stronger rainstorm, visibility is near-impossible. Can have 0-15 mph winds

Hailstorm: Can have Medium or heavy rain and Hail will fall from the sky. The hail is deadly and can destroy stuff so be careful. This storm can have 0-20 mph winds

Thunderstorm: Can have Light or Medium rain. Lightning will strike on occasion. Can have 0-50 mph winds (the winds are getting quite quick at this point so be careful)

Severe Thunderstorm: Stronger Thunderstorm. Can have Medium or Heavy Rain. Lightning of course. Can have 60-120 mph winds (the minimum windspeed is almost as strong as a low-end EF0)

Derecho: Strongest Weather currently in the mod. Heavy Rain, Lightning and can have 70-150 mph winds.

Supercell Thunderstorm: This one is quite unique in which if the autospawn is off it will spawn tornadoes on occasion. No rain to chance of heavy rain sometimes hail included only past medium rain, lightning and 30-130 mph winds

---------------------------------------------------Settings -----------------------------------------------

You can change certain settings such as the tornadoes speed, should there be lightning in the tornadoes, should objects block wind etc.

(Kinda still writing this)

-------------------------------------------------------Autospawn------------------------------------
There is a autospawn function in the mod that spawns various features in the mod such as tornadoes, weather, sharknadoes, all whirlwinds etc.. However unlike other autospawns from other addons this one is more complex in that it simulates thermodynamics such as Risk, CAPE, SRH, RH (not visible), Temperature, Humidity and Lapse Rates. These properties determine how severe the weather, whirlwinds and tornadoes are and how often they spawn in or spawn in at all. The higher values such as CAPE are, the higher the RISK and thus more likely stronger weather such as severe thunderstorms or strong tornadoes will spawn in

Here are the following Risk categories
MRGL (Marginal) (Little to no severe weather or tornadoes)
SLGT (Slight)
ENH (Enhanced)
MDT (Moderate)
HIGH (High) (storms and tornadoes will spawn very often and tornadoes may be EF3 strength or higher)

Like the tornadoes you can view the current thermodynamics in the console. However your gonna have to wait when the thermodynamics changes in which the mod will notify you

---------------------------------------------------Other-----------------------------------------------

Smallnado: If you go to Entities>Prep you will find the "smallnado". This small vortex has 2000+ mph winds. This tornado is a remake of the original "prep" tornado from a very old darkrp server
https://youtu.be/ZaVr-MFS-50?si=7pDJVfHwq9GroEUc

The reason why it has 2000 mph winds was due to it being made when XTwisters 2 used a different calculation for tornado windspeeds

Errornado was removed due to FORTYFOUR not liking it
