Perisno
How do you guys make money on "late game"?
So I'm with 200 people top tier, I think I'm not far from the "Late Game" status. But my problem is keeping up with the costs, slaving is not so profitable due to the x chance to kill/wound the enemies, I'm trying to keep high honour so I won't be raiding villages, I did some trade selling spices and raw silk, but I feel it's too slow to gain money, right now I'm working as a merc because village taxes won't make a dent on my costs. ( I had an army of custom mercs equipped with blunt weapons, but upgrading them cost a ton, so now I'm with an army of bounty hunters now)

So how do you guys make money on the current version?

Before you start your own kingdom you're going to want to buy an enterprise in about every city, the only enterprises worth buying based on profit are oil, wine, and silk producers. Having enterprises in every city will get you about 20k a week to help keep up with garrison costs. Selling prisoners from war is still profitable but not as reliable if you're not constantly fighting.

Honestly I find slaving highly profitable and easy due to the custom mercenaries, just give them ridiculous armor, blunt weapons and a fast mount. After saving enough to get enterprises in every city, start buying up land from the prosperous cities for even more residual income.

I played some more, found a good way to keep making money, we as players are not able to capture prisoners as the AI is on this mod, so instead of depending on my own slaving, I hunt anyone with lot of prisoners, because on this mod, some prisoners of the enemy can be taken for yourself as prisoners, instead of recruiting them.

Also I married with princess who owns a city, from time to time lords will visit there and leave their prisoners, so I just go there, take them for myself and sell them, now I can easily make 10 - 40 thousands each time I sell them this way.

Also, sieging castles with lots of prisoners work the same way, I just steal Elintor ranged units from my wife and siege with them lol. So yeah, my tip is to steal others prisoners.

Perisno millionaire here. Buy up the land in the cities. If a city begins with fewer than 20 acres available, don't develop the total beyond that or they will lose money each week.

Also, once you're a king, tons of money goes to the treasury of your court fief. Stop by there every once in a while to withdraw several hundred thousand.

Thanks, that is what I wanted to know.

Also, what I said goes on top of what others have said, especially buying up an enterprise slot in every city. Also, in Perisno, if your relations are high enough with guildmasters, lords, or village elders they will occasionally send you a bit of money each. This starts of off negligible but for me now at about day 750 it's over 10k aurums per lump of cash.
