Falcon Troops
Never really fought them before Is it me or are they OP as hell. They are beating on the dwarf kingdom in my game and they don't have much left. Tried to help out but the troops even in small number. What is a good counter?

General rule of Perisno and Warband in general is that heavy cavalry is OP. Falcon is an all heavy cav faction so the best option is to not fight them in open field battles and try to kill them in sieges. It's a similar strategy to fighting the Zann since the Zann specialize in open field battles.

I think the mounted archers are worse then the heavy cav. I found a good mix of melee trrops can handle it. but most of them have bows which just ruin me.

HA and, in general, ranged troops are god in Perisno. Enough archers will win, thats just fact.

Sounds like do balance reasons there needs to be troops that have heavy resistance to ranged.

You can always go for a ranged heavy army -> get your heavy infantry 2-3 movement commands from your archers to work as a distraction for awhile

If the enemy army is ranged cav heavy the same tactic can still work as long as you don't advance too much. The cavalry AI tends to get stuck on the ends of the map if you form your lines near where you spawn. So even if your archers barely hit them while they're circling around you on the first engagement they'll get stuck somewhere and they're just toast.

You can also make use of your own cav/companions to distract melee cavs while your archers shoot or get them to charge the stuck ranged cavs.

You can always train gladiators if you need a ton of infantry quickly by recruiting slaves from ransom brokers <3

Hope this gives you a general idea! ;)

Yeah mate. That is what I have been doing. Feels cheap but there isn't any real ranged counter.

Elves are God tier, but on the flipside they take a long time to train. Also at the end of the day you can just charge down archers with heavy cav (which there is a ton of in Perisno). That said Elven archers are definitely the strongest units.

Well, fast to train for players. NPC lords just magically spawn dozens of top level ones. Tempted to actually just have the elves killed off just to balance the map out :P.

I have actually found the Incindarian (spelling) Archers are by far the most powerful. One v one the elves are the best, but in a mixed unit just 10 of these guys wipes out huge amounts of troops. But, Falcon troops crap all over everyone else.

I have never really had to fight the Realm of the Falcon. They are the one major power which I am always able to make a long standing alliance. When fighting groups of deserters, I tend to have a score or more of the female cavalry archers along with my other cavalry. My Household guard also tend to be cavalry archers.

The Falcon have diplomacy AI programmed to be more peaceful, so if they get in a war it's usually because Elintor or Hakkon attacked them.

In my game They ROFL stomped the dwarves. I tried to interject when i saw them getting ripped, but it was too late.

Getting my hands on even a couple of renwards is like I Win troops.

I have noticed in the more recent updates this year, the Realm of the Falcon does end up in wars with the dwarves, but it often is the result of the Realm of the Falcon taking something from the Hakkon Empire which the Hakkon Empire took from the dwarves. Sometimes the dwarves declare war outright, but seems rare.

Dwarves need a bit of help I think. I have found almost every game they just get destroyed.

It's because they use heavy infantry and crossbows but almost every faction has good infantry and longbows are way better than crossbows in Perisno because of rate of fire. Also the Dwarves have bad cavalry when most of the factions have better cavalry so overall they're pretty weak, the giants play the role of tank better.
