Not sure if this would be a scripting thing or a modeling thing, but having the doors open faster would be awesome.

I think it's a modeling thing. My Research into the door pbject itself doesn't expose anything to do with animation. You would have the script open the door earlier is one possibility.

Currently you can only edit the door model and textures, not how it behaves while opening.

If you make the script work with the Stargate mod then "might" get it but I don't think I will.

I'm working on that right now. I'm bringing the scripts away from the doors themselves.

Sadly the method that I was using to divorse the component script from the doors themselves is not not possible with the last update.

My ship has a few maintenance corridors that I'd like to have auto-close but only open via button (so they don't drain oxygen as i pass them. Can a feature be added to support this?

Yes, I will add support for having the mod only open or only close.

Would it be possible to have different distances for each side of the door? Perhaps being able to set vertical and horizontal distances, like a sensor, would also be good, for doors around corners and at the top or bottom of stairs.

Are open-close distances below 1 possible?

Any decimal number will work. It clamps the distance at 0 though.

Would you be interested in integrating the AutoCloseDoor functionality into this mod? https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1843256487

It allows you to make it such that doors close automatically after a set time after being opened. It allows you to do the same functionality of this mod but it behaves a little simpler. These mods *might* work in tandem but it seems like it would make the most sense to integrate the two.
