how do I set my shadow settings to high without using the options menu?

OpenGL issue (Linux issue)

x64 GMod, no additional lighting mods installed, when spawned, the cube is filled with light, even when no light sources are inside it

dunno really, i knew some people who gamed on an intel mac and theres only metal/opengl/moltenvk on there
