i have figured out how it works but not how to succesfully sync it can someone help me?

You basically have to get the frequency up to 60 hertz, then wait until the phase matches (look at the synchroscope; wait until it's around 5 degrees), then you flick the sync switch and it'll send power off to the main grid.
