FAQ
Here you can find the most frequently asked questions. They are created for those who HAVE ALREADY READ the in-mod tips and have not found an answer to their questions. Please check this list before you express your opinion about the mod.

Also, we strongly ask you not to base your opinion on the game against AIs. VGR is primarily made and guided by the experience of PVP matches, on the basis of feedback from which further balance changes are made. If you are interested in watching or taking part in such battles, join our discord.

Question: How do I get skins? How do they work? Why can't I see my skin?
Answer: Skins can be obtained for participating in certain events. Join our official discord to follow them! The skin is linked to your game nickname from the game, and is automatically enabled in multiplayer. Please note that skins do not work in the post-player mode! If you do not see the skin, most likely you have entered your nickname incorrectly or changed it. Report this in our discord and we will help you.

Question: Why are armored vehicles so expensive and weak (compared to other mods)?
Answer: Armored vehicles in VGR are the same as in real life. For maximum effectiveness, armored vehicles must act together with infantry. In the case of light armored vehicles, infantry is able to take some of the damage and suppress enemy AT weapons, tanks can hold attention for some time while the infantry does the main work, and especially heavy tanks can storm enemy positions alone. Remember that an experienced player who has armored vehicles under control and acts together with his team is able to turn the tide of any, even the most desperate battle.

Question: Will there be added fabricators or other additional ways to obtain resources?
Answer: No. But the plans include the possibility of exchanging MP for a Frescite.

Question: Why is there no plan for a large fleet (dreadnoughts, battleships, aircraft carriers) in the mod?
Answer: These units are completely unsuitable for the VGR gameplay. Firstly, in terms of scale (the battleship will literally take up half the map), secondly - answer yourself the question, how much will such a ship cost and how to destroy it.

Question: Why does the VGR have smaller scale battles compared to the original VG?
Answer: Because the vision and development direction of VGR is completely different from the old VG. If VGR was created using the same old formula, no one would play it, and it would be called a Remaster, not a Remake.
"When I created VGR, I meant that the player would try to take care of each soldier and use every opportunity in microcontrol to outplay the enemy, having approximately equal conditions (in terms of resources), rather than just making a crowd of units and sending them into battle with the help of the auto-attack function. Personally, I like to control a small squad of soldiers and a few armored vehicles (which becomes especially valuable to me when they receive veterancy medals!). Speaking of what I personally like - when I first got a PC, I loved playing CoH1, starting matches against bots and simply moving around the battlefield repairing destroyed armored vehicles with the Bergetiger. I especially paid a lot of attention to such mechanics for players who like to play from the support role.
So, if you think that this is unacceptable for you, there are many other mods of larger scale battles."

In the future, this list will be supplemented with new questions.
