FAQ: Why do I have bad performance while playing Reanimata?
Good question.

Some report FPS-drops and a 'laggy' experience. As I don't have any problems and most Alpha-testers (so far I know) have no issues in that regard as well, I am not able to recreate and fix this problem easily. My mod adds several new mechanics and hidden calculations. So, maybe this is the reason but it doesn't explain why some have problems and some like myself do not.

My primary system: Ryzen 7 5800X, RTX 3070, 32GB RAM
Resolution & FPS: 4k and 60FPS (But I lowered it to 30 FPS as this game does not need more and I like my GPU silent and cold)

My secundary system: Ryzen 5 2600, AMD RX 470, 16GB RAM, Resolution & FPS: WQHD and 60FPS

I have never seen lower FPS than 30 (outside of a monthly tick where it does not hurt) and while playing in 60 it goes down sometimes to 45 minimum at very high game speed.

Possible solutions for you:

1. Check whether you have all needed mods installed
2. Check the load order of the depended mods
3. DO NOT USE ANY OTHER NOT MENTIONED MOD
4. Check your Energy and Performance settings for your GPU and CPU
2. Check the load order of the depended mods (this time carefully^^)
5. Do not use the OBSERVER. The FMO mod has recurring bugs there :(
6 Disable Nvidias G-Sync, use the ingame V-Sync instead
7. Set you FPS output at a specific level like 60 FPS or even lower (this game is like a board game with almost no animations ;) ) for saving energy, your GPU and the entire planet^^
This way you never experience a FPS drop from 300 to 'laggy' 200 ;)
8. try my performance sub test mod and report there if this helps https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3239492640
9. If you have a weak PC anyway use the performance map mod from this mod but load it on top of everything else

which would be the best middle ground of settings in-game to aim for? Since I have an AMD Ryzen card laptop, how do I proceed to limit FPS to recommended level? If you don't know, I profusely thank you anyway <3

Well you CPU is from AMD but the question is about your GPU. Its likely that you have an AMD APU so you graphic chip is embedded in your Ryzen. In that case or if you have a dedicated graphics card from AMD you need to go into the driver called catalyst or something like that. If you have a dedicated GPU from Nvidia ypu have to go into their settings.

I have played this game for hours in 30 FPS and never thought that I need more. In other games sure like Crusader Kings 3, there you have a lot of animations and there I prefer 50 or 60 FPS.

For I:R test 30 (your laptop will love you for this) and if this is to low for your taste go up to 50 or 60
