Freezing point review
I give this a 4/5 stars or an 8/10(played this on expert). The quality of the map is great and really immerses you into the cold environment so well it made me feel cold lol.

The resources (especially pipe bombs and ammo) are evenly placed in each map for the events so you are never underprepared for a horde.

At first, the events felt repetitive due to overusing the "find three ____ (and turn on)" but later thought they were fine as the maps also included other events (such as crescendo events).

The map rewards players for exploration and risk taking, one especially good one was the (optional) iron detector in the laboratory which would sound an alarm that causes a horde to spawn. However, the reward for surviving the horde is access to an armory with tier 2-3 guns and an M60. Exploring the maps themselves also rewarded the player by finding resources such as weapons (usually tier 3 guns), medical supplies and grenades.

The survivor conversations were top-notch, especially the survivor with the AI assistant dialogue in the final chapter xD.

Balancing was the major drawback of this map, especially with bots. Most of the balancing was fine such as giving breaks to the survivors for a certain period of time during an event (this was especially useful in the final map) or the resource accessibility. I wouldn't say the same for the tank spawns. Even though I killed the tank first try in the laboratory of ch 4, I got lucky because I had a molotov to kill the tank fast enough so it didn't kill my bot teammates. To kill that specific tank, you would have to run-and-gun back to the ladder part. This wasn't a problem for me, but was a problem for the bots as they had trouble going down the ladder to continue shooting the tank. Another one was at the finale in ch 5, where there were two fence complexes that were the path to the armored truck to escape. However, at the end of the fences was a tank blocking the path. In the parish, which had the same event, there also was a tank at the end; but it could be maneuvered due to how much space there was. This was not the case for the finale of Freezing Point. You were forced to enter through the path of the clustered fences where the tank was at, making it impossible for all the bot survivors to reach the truck without being pummeled. In fact, I had to leave my teammates behind to be able to maneuver the tank to reach the escape vehicle, while there were special infected spawning in. This disadvantage is pretty minor considering the map was probably not made for expert and was for co-op.

Great map and wish to see you make even more masterpieces in the future :) :steamhappy::steamthumbsup:

FYI, the second Tank in the finale (when the rescue vehicle is available) spawns in a completely random location. I'm sorry to hear it blocked your path, but that's pretty infrequent. Glad you enjoyed the mod regardless!
