EARLY MODERN UNIFORMS FOR THE SHOGUNATE

- At the start of the game soldiers in both naval bases and barracks, will wear traditional armor, upon researching line infantry, some of the pop will "modernize" while some soldiers will retain the traditional armors, be it less frequently. There's "3" template for modern shogunate troops, with mostly variation between two jingasa, a headband or legwears.

- At the start of the game officers in both naval bases and barracks, will wear traditional armor, upon researching line infantry, some of the pop will "modernize" while some officers will retain the traditional armors, beit less frequently. Officers are all very similar while modernized, the main differences being the haori with different color patterns.

- Commanders (both general and admirals) will wear a traditional armor, more fancy than the officer counterpart, armors have a lot of different color palettes to represent the different clans in the leadership. Upon researching line infantry, some commanders will modernize and wear almost the same outfit as the officers, beit more fancy and with way more colors.

- The shogun has now a custom made outfit upon pseudo-modernization, the outfit will activate when both line infantry and napoleonic warfare are researched.

MEIJI/IMPERIAL ERA UNIFORMS

- Regular Soldiers in barracks have 3 different templates, the most common is the yellow cap/sleeve for the regular infantry, then the red and fancy imperial guard, and logistic troops in blue.
- Regular officers in barracks have 3 different templates, the yellow cap one is the most common for the infantry, then red and fancy imperial guard officers and in green, junior officers. Officers hats are either custom made peaked cap or kepi depending on units mostly.
- Soldiers and officers in barracks where cavalry or artillery units are recruited will be wearing custom uniforms based on said units.

- During certain period of the year, the regular soldiers/officers will change their outfit to be more fitting with the weather, cotton white clothing for summer and heavy warm coat for winter.

- Generals have a lot more variants than before ! First, their headgear is dependant on ranks, with more lines appearing in the main band of the cap/kepi upon promotion. They have 4 different coats, with either Yellow or red color schemes and of course more gold and fancy outfits.

- Soldiers and officers in naval bases also have custom uniforms now ! Sailors wear the famous sailor cap with "Great imperial Japanese navy" written on them, officers have a custom made peaked cap with the navy emblem on it. Both soldiers and officers have white and black variants.

- Admirals got also a lot of love, with 3 hats available, 2 for the black variants, 1 for the white variants, with a lot of possible fancy variations.

- Now, there is also more than 45 hair/beard/mustache templates for admirals/generals and around 5 for officers, soldiers remain beardless.

- The emperors have two different outfits, the first one appears before modernization if line infantry, napoleonic warfare and percussion cap are researched, upon modernization the outfit disappear to give place to a more modern and fancy uniform. When given command, emperors will wear a special black/gold kepi.
