Pyroland is a thing in the canon of the game and we have the rainbow tie for him from the Manndatory Attire.
We also have Rainbow skins that valve themselves made back in the pyroland crate.
Like it or not a Rainbow isn't just some gay thing you don't want to see.
People could really save themselves a lot of time & energy by just simply saying:

There's no need to point & remark "OH, That's gay..." "Bloody Brilliant!" "Of COURSE!" every single time a rainbow appears or you catch somebody wearing a something with a few colourful stripes. Sometimes, a rainbow is just a blinkin', pretty rainbow!
- "Rainbows + Pyro" does not automatically "= Pride"
- All you have to do is behold anything resembling a rainbow to get a crowd of people to shout "Gay!" and then start shouting amongst themselves, if not aimlessly.
- I really should not have been so daft as to do anything more than cast my vote, leave my award & move onto the next item (What can I say? When I catch someone saying something so transparently disingenuous as I caught one user saying in the item's comments, especially among a crowd of people I would sadly presume to believe that they were saying anything beside a complete full of tripe, I just can't help but give in to the temptation to make it as evidently obvious as possible that they are, indeed, full of tripe).
Of course, in my aforementioned daftness, maybe I'm missing it.It almost certainly is, just as the authors are almost certain to know very well that it doesn't at all matter if it is (I've seen at least two Left 4 Dead 2 Workshop authors provide texture alternatives to their primary mods such as a "TRANS-12" & "Gay Pride Glock" as a clear joke, and yet some people still can't help but kick up a fuss about it rather than just use the main version of the mod or simply move on & not give it any attention) or that having "Flag On/Off" styles as recently suggested (A suggestion I do like, especially for those who want a "For Hire" or "Mercenary" style) would make much of a difference in regards to what anybody has to say about any flag for these Caps. After all, I'm sure that they're having a little chuckle at how well their "Global Offender" is doing what it says on the tin.
The message being "Do You Believe in Magic?"?
Hilarious you're saying other people are including a rainbow patch on a videogame cosmetic as "bad faith" when you're the one getting upset at the idea of representation of a group of people that has no material effect on you, that is bad faith if I've ever seen it.
I would like to request representation for American Southerners on this cosmetic by having the American flag on the Engineer's version changed to the Confederate one. Oh wait, that's not appropriate because it would have too many political implications. Almost like we shouldn't be including political symbolism in a video game which has no real political themes in it. Especially when such themes are entirely out of place and only serve to own le hecking bigots. References to politically contentious things in TF2 have always been sly and in jest. This, like so many recent additions to the workshop in the last few years, is not sly and is just an attempt to shove an identity somewhere where it does not belong. If you want to have your gay flag on your model, put it on your flair or on a sign.
Türkiye, Greece, Spain and Italy are the areas most likely to suffer forest fires or search, pyro have a lot of cosmetic just look for example if he have more british cosmetics and just use that flag
Although, considering that 'Benjamoose' (Voice actor for 'Prof. Bigginsize' & 'Prof. Freakinhuge' for ctf_Crasher, 'The Civilian' for Team Fortress 2 Classic & Open Fortress and other community projects) already decided to take Pyro's gentlemanly attire a step further a decade ago, some might be compelled to agree in suggesting an English flag, especially with the nation's well-recorded track record of causing a bit of bother (No need to implicate Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland in such royal shenanigans):

Personally, I'm happy enough with Pyro's Cap bearing the flag of Pyroland (Assuming that the authors find no reason to provide alternative styles such as previous suggestions are provided for this item in the future, if the item is even officially accepted).
and i know it's been years since vets have equipped the goggles, but those aren't pyro-land colors.
and you keep saying it yourself; it's a rainbow dude. a rainbow flag. in regards to the US flag can you go "bro it's just a blue square with stars and stripes, it's not the us flag bro" ? everyone knows who uses a rainbow flag.
