Here's some stuff I think could be easily changed.
- The Opfor RAI-360M has just one skin for OPFOR yet the model is compatible with every skin that came with the Cougar. I don't know why it only has one skin to choose, but it'd be nice to have an option that has every skin in the virtual garage so I don't have to manually texture it myself with scripts. You could either change the base class (not advised) or make a CSAT version that has all the skins available for it.
- Making ION Cougar variants is as trivial as just adding a classname that just uses the existing ION skin which is currently only available on civilian Cougars for some reason. I don't know why RF devs didn't add an ION version themselves when they have SFIA!
Getting into more actual custom skins now, everything in this mod, the Cougar especially, is HIGHLY versatile and you could very easily fit the Cougar into many, many factions with varying levels of work.
Now CUP already includes Puma helicopters for the British and Royal Sahrani, and the Cougar helicopter is based on a design in real life that was derived from the Puma. Going by the precedent set by CUP, making a British Armed Forces skin is as easy as just slapping a Royal Navy roundel on the gray and green skins. Making a Sahrani skin will take a little more work, but once you got the camo right, you also suddenly have a Takistan variant; just replace the Sahrani flag with a Takistan triangle emblem.
For reference, this is what the CUP Pumas look like. Note this is not the same helicopter; it's the predecessor to the Cougar as found in RF: https://i.imgur.com/xjhLhRK.png
Want CDF? Slap a CDF logo on a NATO green scheme, or the forest camo scheme, or maybe change the tint of an AAF version to better suit a CDF 2022 version. Want Chedakis? Just slap a ChDZK spraypaint roundel on the existing SFIA camo scheme and boom you got Chedakis. Maybe do the same for the snow camo for Chedakis in the winter.
For a mod that adds what seems like such little content, there's a lot you can do with it. Don't even get me started on the MOOSE pickup truck.
