Hello,

I'm currently playing with over 400 mods and i'm glad to have found yours!

Nevertheless, there is ONE thing that i'd like improved. I don't want to see traders (of any kind) selling me items made from the new materials, unless my colony's tech level is appropriate (and/or certain research items have been completed).

Don't get me wrong, i'm not interested in a medieval play or something similar. It just breaks immersion that my bow and arrow guys can currently buy some Solarite(?) Armor or whatever.

I am using the Tech Advancing mod to make things smooth. Also the Arcane Technology mod. But neither are restricting the items sold by traders in this manner.

Not sure it can be done, just putting it out here :) maybe as an idea for a new mod? :steamhappy:

thanks for the write up. Rimworld uses a "commonality" attribute for material usage and a techlevel. They are set to Ultra and Archotech and commonality is really low. Nothing else can be done.


however, I think that seeing this tech is something to strive for, not hide. Today we are fighting with bows and cowering behind hides, but someday we'll be clad in sunsteel...
