Bot Difficulty Reaction Time
The bots feel great, they feel like actual players (in terms of aiming), and it really does give a more realistic feeling : those maps where the bot basically insta-headshot you the moment you peek is really unrealistic unless you're playing against a shameless waller.

However, something I was wondering was how long the reaction time of the bots varied between each difficulty (excluding Harmless of course). I've pinned the normal bots reaction time at around 800ms, although my methods were very rudimentary (taking my phone and timing how long till the bots shoot me when I peek. Very inaccurate.). Does anyone have info concerning this?

I would like to know, since the average player reaction time should be closer to 250ms, and I'd like to play a bot that reflects this metric.

If the creator or anyone has any information on the exact reaction time of each difficulty, it would be fantastic to have.

P.S - If the creator has already listed the timings and I just glossed over them, please do tell me. If not, creator, please add it in the description or as an info panel in-game. I know it's a lot to ask for, and it's not easy to make these maps, so having the timings listed in the description is more than enough.

Thanks in advance to anyone who read till the end, you're a legend.

I timed the Time To Kill (TTK) of each bot using my rudimentary process to try and get preliminary answers to my question, and thought I should share some of my findings in this discussion :
- Normal - 3490ms
- Hard - 1630ms
- Hell - 1380ms

Take these numbers with a grain of salt though, because it can widely vary depending on whether they get a 1st shot headshot or not. These are also pretty shallow averages (only averaged out over 10 attempts for each difficulty), so they're not super substantial.

I took out all the attempts where I got headshot, because they generally ended around the 300-600ms mark regardless of the difficulty. Something I did notice for the Normal bots though is that they seem to also shoot faster if shot at. Not sure if it's placebo or not, but that is what it feels like.

This is all I had in terms of findings, would be interesting to do this over a bigger dataset (100+ attempts for each bot difficulty would be quite a substantial metric to hold as well, with accurate measurements starting from t1 = bot_spot vs t2 = bot_kill to get Δt = time_to_kill, for my readers who are still learning middle school physics.)

Thanks in advance to anyone who read till the end, you're a legend.

well actually......
hell mode bot reaction time is 100ms
hard mode is 100ms too
normal is 400ms , For higher fault tolerance to those fresh
the difference of hell and hard is only accuracy

I don't mean your conclusion are wrong
All of the above are pre-set parameters and can only serve as a reference
Because there are many parameters that can also affect the reaction time of the bot
For example, is it your first time appearing on a map
Did they hear the noise you made
Is your position the last one you disappeared from

cause in test round we found some players perfer to peek repeek bot, that will cause bot cannot shoot u all time
so i must improve their reaction time to fit repeek time

Unless SourceTS is functional for me to distinguish whether Bots are seeing players for the first time

Thanks for your feedback dude, you are a true player and true hero.

Thank you so much for the information. Really appreciate how fast and frank your response is. I wasn't aware of those other factors, so it's a nice bit of extra information for structuring my practice routine.

Awesome developer, seriously keep up the good work.
