i had similiar problem when i tried to use custom models that doesn't had face poser for Hunter. Do you have custom models aswell? If so, you need to disable these settings via Options -> DVI -> Hunter New Options -> Eye Shrinking

Idk if this is intentional but, for some reason, when i shine a flaslight at the hunter's eyes, not only his pupils contract, but also his skin, i don't remember that happening in ep2 tho
If it's intentional, then alr, gotta get used to it

yes. This, is in fact, intentional. Because it was doing nothing and i wanted to do something with it. So here you go.

well, it may not work for few reasons: only 4 hunters can "follow" strider at a time, and after hunter dies, few seconds must pass so hunter will start following that strider again. Or if you are simply too close to a hunter, it will go back to its regualr fighting style.

I only spawned one hunter and I was also far away from it

I think I encountered this bug as well, but I think it's a problem with Inpc, not Hunter enhanced.
