Here is my suggestions: #1 I was on cycle two and I didn't sleep through the night and I went until it counted as day again but then I slept and that should supposedly go to cycle four because I got to cycle three but no, it said cycle two. So I think that it should increase the cycle counter when going through the night. #2 I think that my karma level should also go up by one for surviving the night, it just makes sense. #3 At the end of the night and when the next cycle begins it should use food like it would usually after hibernating, in fact it would make more sense to use more food then usual due to Slugcat moving around all night but that is where I think it is too realistic and it takes away from gameplay but that is your choice, also if you didn't eat enough and go through the night it should count as a starve cycle. SIDE NOTE: It shouldn't save like usual, that is hibernation exclusive in my opinion.

A lot of these ideas are stuff I've already considered behind the scenes. I need to balance what I know alongside complexity so ill see what I can do here.

Understandable, I knew you would already have thought of at least one of these ideas, I was just thinking of giving all of my ideas so that you can get more ideas for future update to this mod. Also, thanks for letting me know you saw my idea.

At least, make it have fewer clouds. that leads me into an idea I had, maybe add light rainstorms as semi-rare weather events? They could happen at either day or night. But make it purely cosmetic, similar to how pre-cycle rain (from downpour) is when the pre-cycle rain is technically over.

Following the ideas listed here, there could be weather conditions lasting for more than a day, and also there could be two types of weather variations: purely cosmetic ones and harmful ones (for example the lightning strikes in stormy coast).
The harmful ones are not as deadly as the heavy rain, but careless actions can lead to your demise, and hibernating won't necessarily get rid of the problem for you, so you have to come up with creative solutions to survive (hoarding your shelter with food could be a solution)
There could be also events with creatures, like if an area gets flooded lots of acquatic creatures will spawn and they will stay till the flood goes away(or if you tame your Lizards so they will stay with you).
It could happen similarly with snow, so that more creatures that you see in Saint Caimpagn (mostly the ones immune to the cold but not just limited to them) will spawn and so on, like a migration of critters/ apex predators.
I don't know how many of these things can be really done but I hope for some of them to become reality one day

Yeah, it'd certainly be cool to have random pre-cycle rain or for it to snow for a cycle or three for a whole region, maybe even random blizzards in regions when it snows? Also, maybe certain weather events are more prominent for certain slugcats, such as a cold cycle being slightly more likely for rivulet as the cold is slowly creeping in after she takes the rarefraction cell.

what if, hear me out: config option slider that has three options:

- cloudless skies (no clouds)
- cloudy skies (clouds, no rain)
- rain (has harmless rain at the beginning of nighttime for a short period)
