Hi Mark! I'm aware of this issue and it's due to a battery change made about 3-4 weeks ago.
I've not yet updated the ship yet simply because it was a very minor change. Essentially, if you go into drone mode and disconnect the ore scanner, and just the ore scanner and reconnect it to a power junction nearby the junction it is connected to, it will start working again.
The problem is the junction it is on is over-voltage and is unable to scan more than about 3 channels.
Hopefully that helps.
If you're willing to wait about a week and willing to rebuild the ship, it will be updated.
