If you see blank/white icons, then that means the game cannot find the image files, likely due to typos in the files. Let me know which item and I'll fix it ASAP.

I try to load into my modded save with Virulent Overhaul active and my game crashes to desktop. I had only installed this mod and it's dependency when I was loading into the save.

I checked the mod and there are no file conflicts. Does it no longer crash when you deactivate my mods?

By any chance do you have this patch active: https://www.patreon.com/posts/important-bug-64803991
If not, try replacing the game executable file with the one provided. You don't need to do the monster portion.
