As you know I have added the feature to the game, that you can actually loose the connection to a radio station, when you are leaving its radius. This brought one problem: As soon as there is no person on the radio station of you uboat, you will loose connection. I fixed that problem, by adding a timer, which gave the game time, to send an other sailor to the radio.
"Sometimes it's being turned off when an officer enters or leaves the radio station."
So when your officer leaves the radio station it is starting the timer, the sailor to replace him was too slow
"Sometimes it's being turned off as soon as I start time compression."
Sometime when using time compression it makes that problem even worse.
"Sometimes it's being turned off for no apparent reason."
This could be intended. As you know, the mod changes the news and the music from time to time. But this doesnt work aslong as you are connected to the radio. So my mod throws you off the radio to update the music list.
With the Type II Uboat that problem is pretty mutch not available since the ways from the bed to the radio station is pretty short.
I have uploaded now a new verison of the mod, that gives the game a little more time to get an sailor to the radio before disconnecting. Try that.
Also you could try using a mod which increases your crew limit. I guess more people on board = sailor faster at radio.
Ingame there is a menu, where you can set the priority, how importent different thing should be done. There you can also set the importance of tasks for sailors. Set the radio there to the highest priority.
If all that doesnt help, you can easily disable the Radio Station Range Feature of my mod, by navigating into this folder:
Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\494840\3342143865\source
and delete all the .cs files.
Remember that you have to redo it every time I update my mod.
It just doesn't make sense to me that the radio is automatically turned off shortly after someone was on it, like the situation with the captain alone on the boat.
I'll try the tip with deleting the mentioned files.
Let's see, if that works.
But it's somehow strange that this problem only started occurring once I got to the Mediterranean, unless you updated the mod at that specific time. ,-(Ô_o)
Sometimes, it's being turned off when the boat goes to periscope depth and time compression is active, while in map view. But overall it is mostly like it was before.
Thank you.
