I guess I should have put my original post here!

So yesterday while playing I noticed that trait books that had been previously read (and successfully applied to my character) no longer showed as "Read" when examined.

Today I took a look at the character traits, and all of the traits that had been applied through reading the books were still applied, but again, for whatever reason, the books no longer showed as having been read. Pretty much a bug of inconvenience, but doesn't impact game play.

Thank you for the report! I tested it and it marks them as read for me on ongoing and fresh saves. Wild guess but it might be because I changed some of the item info to link them to translation files. Have you tried reading them again? If they still show as unread, could I trouble you test on a fresh save with only this mod? If it works, it's likely due to another mod causing this issue.

Been a bit of a delay. Had a super busy day yesterday and never was able to play. Will test this out either this evening, or maybe the first 1/2 of this week before I go out of town. Will get it done and let you know what I find.

All right, it appears to be all good. Works with all of the other mods I'm running, and continues to show books as "read" from one gaming session to another.

Hey there, just ran into a bug where I had the disorganized trait, read the organized book (with the replace trait option on), and it only removed the disorganized trait, it did not apply the organized trait. This was the only trait that ran into issues, all other books that I have tested seem to have worked properly

Just tested it myself and it gave the trait, unsure what could be the issue. Do you have another mods that could potentially be conflicting?

reading the handy magazine doesnt give +1 carpentry or maintenance, i figure this is intentional for balancing purposes but im saying something in case it isn't, a cool mod nonetheless

Yes, this is intended, I should probably clarify it on the mod page haha.

whats the point of handyman magazine then? SOTO gives those +1/+1(75%exp bonus,not by itself+1/1) after reach 7 carpentry. so be there 2 handymans with soto?i am confusing.the whole point of the trait is an experience bonus, not a free first skill

"Handy" does not give you experience bonus, the skill books do. "Handy" only gives "+100 HP to some constructions" and "Faster building speed (≈11%)". This is true for both default and SOTO according to their document.

Also keep in mind that this mod was not built with other trait modifying mods in mind. It is meant to work will vanilla traits. If SOTO modifies/replaces traits, there might be issues depending on how they did it.

If you have this problem best solution is to read magazine again and quickly quit and play again. It will save eventually.

B42 update give 1 error when you press start after done customize your character, not game breaking, but i havent found any book from the mod yet, so i guess it fail to load the item list or something
