is there something im missing
the game hard crashes when i click the cloudbox tab

Cloudbox uses a web panel in the Cloudbox tab so I'm guessing that's what's crashing. We can try fix it if we test the same sort of setup that you're using. Do you use the main (default) Gmod branch or the x86-64 (64-bit) branch? Are you using Windows 10/11 or a different OS? Do you use CEFCodecFix?

It should be working fine for you. Could you try opening the spawn menu but not going to the Cloudbox tab yet, go to the "Options" sidebar, "Cloudbox" category, "User", and click "Offline Mode"? Does that cause it to crash for you?

I get errors anytime I spawn something and it just crashes soon after

Try the "Zombie Spawner", it works without issue on a clean install. If it errors for you and crashes, then something is conflicting. Try disabling all mods and see if it still happens?
