Garry's Mod

Cloudbox - The new Toybox!
Deleting the downloaded content
By deleting the contents of “downloads” folder in the path “GarrysMod\garrysmod\data\cloudbox\downloads”, does it completely delete everything downloaded from the CloudBox section? Doesn't it leave extra small files in other folders like “materials”, “maps”, “lua”, etc.?

In other words: do I get a clean Garry's Mod after just deleting one “downloads” folder?

Thanks! :gmod:

All downloaded Cloudbox content is put in the data/cloudbox/downloads folder, so clearing that should be all you need to do to 'clean' your install. All content is bundled into .json and .gma files in that folder. You can also delete this content via the Tools menu > Cloudbox > User > Delete Cache. In the future we'll also show the total size so you don't need to go into the files to see it.

If you joined a server running Cloudbox with a Cloudbox map at the time you connected, the map may have been downloaded via FastDL to download/maps as with any other FastDL map (as it's not handled by Cloudbox).
This is only done when you join a server, if you were already on the server or only played singleplayer then they're all in data/cloudbox/downloads.
