Technical Support
The purpose of this discussion is twofold, to create a centralized location to display known issues and to serve as a place for subscribers to post problems with the mod. Please comment in this section if you have any issue with the mod and I will do my best to triage the problem with you.


FAQ:
  • The mod does not appear in my tuning pack list!
    This issue is occuring for most mods currently, there are a couple ways to fix it. Eventually, if you wait, it will show up. You can try resubscribing after unsubscribing, that's been known to help too. Lastly, you can try validating your cache via steam.

  • I get a Fatal SCAR error while playing your mod!
    This can be caused by a number of things, two of which are located in the Known Issues list below. If you're playing singleplayer you can continue playing by selecting "Pause/Break" on your keyboard. This is a huge pain however, and I'm currently working to solve the problem. If you're playing multiplayer it could be caused by the overabundance of corpses caused by many users. I'm currently evaluating what to do with this issue, any feedback is appreciated.


Known Issues:
  • Fire and Advance currently has no cooldown
  • American Halftrack can reinforce
  • American Halftrack can repair vehicles
  • Rear Echeleon troops do not have proper descriptions or icons for their upgrades
  • Sturmpioneers do not have proper descriptions or icons for their upgrades
  • Many US campaign / commander units have missing or extra requirements
  • Many West German campaign / command units have missing or extra requirements
  • German scout-snipers are fire too rapidly and accurately
  • Americans do not have proper tiering requirements
  • West Germans do not have proper tiering requirements
  • East Germans do not have full access to tiering requirements
  • Soviet tiering requirements are messy, but mostly bug free
  • Fatal SCAR issue related to multiple kublewagons - possibly fixed, needs more testing
  • Fatal SCAR issue related to too many corpses being held in memory

tanks get stuck i dont know what causes it but it hapens only in this mod

I think this issue is related to a bug in CoH2 where corpses won't convert from "dying" to "dead," and as a result are not removed from the pathfinding calculations. I'm still deciding what to do with the corpses feature, any input would be great!

I noticed it too, on pretty much every map, I also noticed that you can't build the 203mm howitzer of the soviets

The problem with the soviet 203mm is being addressed in an upcoming patch.

best thing is just to have them fade over a certain peroid of time

I've had an issue with the supply wagons on all factions across all maps. I've been unbale to build them reguardless of the number of resources I posses. This doesn't bother me so much since I don't think I would really use them anyways. For now I'd prefer you stay your focus on the "tanks stuck on dead bodies" issue. I simply figured you'd like to know.

What do you mean by supply wagons? There was a bug that made it impossible to purchase the West German reinforcement halftrack, but it's been fixed already. Any additional information would be great!

PS. I think I've narrowed down the tank issue, but only wide-scale testing will prove for sure. Expect a build very soon!

The supply wagons in question are The Wehrmacht Support Armor Korps Opel Blitz Cargo Truck and the Soviet Tankoviy Battalion Command Zis-6 Transport Truck. I noticed you didn't have any vehicles like these for the U.S. or OKW so now I'm wondering if that was intetional. Sorry for waiting so long to get to you on this issue.

P.S. Tanks still get stuck on dead bodies but it happens a lot less.

OK. So I just had a breakthrough with the stuck tanks issue. I managed to get one Sherman unstuck. He was caught on ONE dead body in a CRATER MDAE BY INDIRECT FIRE. It wasn't too long after that I managed to get a Wolverine stuck permenently, evidence that the location is 'tank sticky'. This is something I've started to notice; tanks more often get stuck in places where there has been HEAVY INDIRECT FIRE and HEAVY INFANTRY TRAFFIC resulting in many DEAD BODIES and CRATERS. I'll investigate this further as best I can by testing tanks on terrain with no indirect fire vs tanks on terrain with lots of indirect fire.

Hey, thanks TehRoast. I really appreciate you diving down into this issue for me! I've known for a while now that the issue was caused by corpses (it doesn't occur if I return all corpses to their shortened despawn time), but the piece I was missing was the interaction between the corpses and the terrain splats caused by indirect fire.

My internal build has curbed this issue somewhat more, but maybe with this additional information I'll be able to fix it entirely.
