CONTAINER LAYOUT SHARING
If you have dabbled with adjusting container layouts in-game and created something you like, feel free to share screenshots here.

If the layout is both appealing and balanced, I may add it as a default to the mod.
Please keep in mind these suggestions should be inline with default mod balance, as described below.

Guidelines
Regular Containers
Keep it simple. A single grid is usually preferred so that large items are able to fit.

TARDIS* Containers
They MUST have some form of class restriction on the allowed items.
The container should be either a rare find or thematic.
i.e. The First-aid Kit. Takes up 4 slots, holds 16 slots. Only allows medical items.

World* Containers
Keep the total slot count close to (weight capacity * 2). It doesn't have to be exact.
This is the most open category, have fun with it.

TARDIS Container
Any container that is bigger on the inside.

World Container
Containers that the player can't carry around and use as a bag.
Things like a fridge, a shelf, a bookcase, a crate, etc.

i guess i'll start xD
car seats, except driver's, add a 5x2 (small vehicles) / 5x3 (medium/large vehicles) to simulate "seat floor/under the seat"... to mitigate the extra space, remove one 5x1 row from the seat container?
example:
https://ibb.co/C8sPXkT

i don't know about other people but my car has some spare space under the seat and on the floor i always put stuff in there, especially when travelling or when i go to the supermarket xD

I can't see those images because Discord actually has security on them.
Maybe try imgur or something?

Duffel Bags generally have three pockets (not the main container) in real life. a small one for documents in the front, and a larger one on each side that's only big enough to fit a handful of things.

suggestion: add two 2x3 and one 2x2 pockets to all duffel bags

not a layout idea, but a QoL suggestion: could we have the ability to actually move newly-created pockets when we're in debug mode? (also have the pockets show up in non-debug mode?)
https://ibb.co/wWz84PZ ⇐ these two pockets on the right, i was hoping to keep them one above the other lol

TARDIS KEYRING

If anyone is like me and wants a quick and dirty fix for an infinite keyring, I personally use weightless keys so I dont have to faff around swapping and keeping track of keys...

go to:
SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\3397561666\mods\InventoryTetris\42.0\media\lua\client\InventoryTetris\DataPacks

and open TetrisDataPack_Containers.lua in any text editor, ctrl+f and search for keyring. on line 2848 you'll see an entry for KeyRing_1, change its Width and Height value to what you want. I tried 60 by 60 and the inventory was so big it went off screen, so maybe try 30 x 30 and go from there

EDIT: I run the game in 1920x1080, and 50 x 29 seems to be a nice sweet spot for having the entire thing on screen without going off

Forgive my ignorance, but is it not easier to port all the old containers and sizes over from the B41 version of the mod? I know that we have lots of new containers in B42, but aren't most of them still the same in terms of weight and game balance?
Notloc  [developer] 3 Jan @ 11:50pm
I did port the world container data from B41. This is just a spot for people to post ideas for improvements mainly.

The grid for a car seat for example, is fine as is, ported over from B41.
But Fuyuno's idea of adding a small 2nd grid to the bottom to represent space underneath the seat is a fun detail I hadn't thought of.

not tried this mod yet, but it looks like it has a TON of interesting layouts:

(if i understand that mod correctly anyway lol)
Some sedan and SUV trunks have a spare tire area that can be pulled up. Might be worth giving the space for a tire to some of the smaller trunks and optionally having a tire spawn there (not sure if that's in scope of the mod)

I was thinking exactly this last night.
It's gonna be a week or so before I can get around to it, but I'm thinking about adding "speciality" slots or whatever you want to call them.
So trunks would have a dedicated slot off to the side that holds a single tire, nothing else can be put into it. No space restrictions, just a single tire object.

That's always been my go to and the one I base sizes off of. In my opinion right now though is that some of his B42 grids are to big. Most of them are perfectly fine and work great, but some of them just feel huge to me. At least compared to the grids I used in B42.
