Bombs and shelter.
I know basements can be burned out by bombs, but if you go down far enough, or set up in a specific basement can you avoid the all consuming aerial doom?

For instance, the Rosewood school has an extra level deep basement whilst the Muldraugh police station's basement is solid stone, not wood.

There's also the March Ridge school bunker that goes down five something levels. Anyone tested these options or found a bomb proof shelter? I'm getting tired of waking up with all my stuff (and my butt) on fire and taking a stroll to lead the jets away from my base for a day or two till they calm their thrusters is a bit immersion breaking.

i survived in West Point in a normal house basement. i even think the more tight they are, the easier is to "camp" the hazmat guys that pop up from the stairs and blast them with M16 full auto.

No basement is immune to fire, the military base commonly has fire even at the lower levels

I bunkered in the police station but it got burned down like every other one because bombs are centered around the player and not random.
march ridge seemed really safe

Well its random. My advise is not to sit in a base with tour loot. Relocate to your base after the bombings are complete
