[B42] Week One NPC
Freeze Investigation.

there are two things i need from people.

First a list of mods that are being used along side.

Second is video with system [GPU and RAM amount] of the freezing victim to figure out how long it takes for each person.

trying to collect data to narrow down culprit.

We have rooted out Mods being the issue and no longer need mod lists and stats. it seems to be happening even with only Week one and Bandits mod being installed.
Bandits mod works fine. no issues
Week one is the mod having the strange issues.

I am helping Slayer with testing as he cannot replicate the issue.
we will be doing tests until we find the issue so please be patient.

I will give updates along the way so people know whats going on.

Facts we know now.

1. It has nothing to do with RAM
2. It has nothing to do with Hardware
[mine only used 36% of any part before freezing]
3. It has nothing to do with Cars or Car Spawning
4. It has nothing to do with the event scheduler that causes "events" to happen.

we still have more testing to do.

We found out that audio from houseparty ♥♥♥♥♥ the game. looking into it more. fix testing.

Slayer found the issue in the coding. he recoded the part that was having issues. there is a live test going out right now. unsubscribe and resubscribe to both this and Bandits mod to try the fresh version. testing it for a while now, no issues yet.

1st of all found out the Mod Menu B41 is no longer necessary and i had it in my load. Mod Menu is built in to B42 now and is no longer needed. make sure to remove it from your mod list.

will retest modpack slowly one mod at a time until i find the culprit but each test is 45 minutes long. so trying to find "same" type mods in other players modpacks to narrow down whats causing it.

I will start by removing all the mods i know DONT effect it. such as clothing, hair, graphical changes and crafting recipies

I think its spawning related. Someone just posted about Party spawns being bugged. But What I noticed is that infinite cars are being spawned on top of each other, inside certain Mechanic Garages, like Rosewoods, Westpoints and Jamieton.

Disabled every mod except Week 1 and bandits. Garages are still spawning cars uncontrollably. like 1 minute into a new run and theyre clipping through the roof.

Someone mentioned this happening during events, which I just now noticed as well! Was running perfectly fine until a house party spawned, then my ram shot up to 5000+. :stress:

Yeah. I'm testing the mods and slowly removing them. getting the freeze to happen within the first day even with just bandits and week one. seems the game stutters when generating NPC's maybe its the generation of their clothing and items. when the party event happens the generation of NPC's is so vast and large due to a bug of spawning too many or something else that it inevitably results in a hard hang that the program cannot recover from.

So I think you're able to safely cross those other mods off your list of potential causes! :spiffo:

Yeah i had already gone through all of them two at a time. but thanks a bunch.
No prob! Narrowing down every bit helps. I really do think with everything that people are bringing up, it's *gotta* be something to do with the new spawning system, and something about Week One is just not meshing with it, but maybe it's something so small in the code that it's easily overlooked. Who knows! We'll keep on truckin' until we figure it out! :steamhappy:

I wana know. if someone gets their game to freeze via the party event. time on your phone how long it takes to recover. if it recovers at all. if it is a "item generation hang" kind of thing it should recover after some time.

also that 5000+ ram thing im assuming is in kb so its 5gb roughly of ram which is normal. pretty sure vanilla minecraft uses 6gb. so 5000kb is fairly normal.

if im not mistaken Vanilla PZ runs on 2000 kb*

i was sorta correct. its 2gb of VRAM and 8gb of RAM
