You can uninstall the battery to stop it. In vanilla I think car alarms are meant to get you into trouble unexpectedly by drawing a crowd, but NPCs in this mod are deaf, so it really doesn't serve much of a purpose besides being very irritating.

it is irritating, but it's because of the actual sound, i think i need to replace the original sounds because its just bad

It would be good if only the cars that don't have keys in the ignition start wailing, that way the car that the player is currently driving could be excluded.

what there is now is not how alarm works :D

I personally don't mind the alarms so much as it adds to the chaos, it would just be nice to be able to turn them off or at least turn your own cars off without having to disable the battery all the time.

Having something in the vehicle radial menu to turn alarms off would be really nice.

Bro they're not THAT bad damn

Having this happen frequently and it's *significantly* louder than any other sound effect. My car's alarm will randomly go off. It's annoying af. Have to basically turn sounds off while it's happening, which is nearly all the time. Also there's no option to turn it off, like in my own car?

I did but then indie stone added their sounds which overwritten my change. In the end some cars have my more ear friendly sound but some still have the painful one

My issue is that even upon removing the battery, or outright deleting the vehicle doesn't seem to fix it. Every car horn just continuously blares forever.

You mean literally forever or just for a long time. Usually the alarms stop after some time. However new bombs and arson ezplosions will trigger them back.

They are crucial as they attract the zombies which is important for the dynamic of events. I will simply replace the rest of the original sounds with someting bearable
