Cops aren't helping
I'm not entirely sure if this is a bug / I'm an idiot / general problem but so far my biggest problem is the cops just not helping and sometimes being the problem

I'll be minding my business, doing shopping (I did learn 'buying' without the right amount of money makes me bad and in turn shot at) but sometimes I meet people who are just mad at me and will approach with knives, bats, or even guns. There has been times I've lured them to cops hoping they'd help- they mostly don't unless it's the 'Hostile Takeover' people. I'm either left with defending myself and being mowed down by the cops, letting said person to kill me, or just- running away

I very well could be doing something wrong, and I am tempted to just turn the police off but I do enjoy the environment they make. If this is a 'bug' and either being worked on or someone knows how to fix I'd love to know


Other problems I've found is when people break into my house presumably to loot things and I again defend myself the cops still show up and kill me. Which is really annoying when I am genuinely protecting myself. I have also gone around on a killing spree once, which was fun but I also learned many of the things that make the cops mad and in turn 'what not to do'

Cops don't help unless they're trying to kill me. People break into my house. I love everything else this mod does

I don't know much on how to help you out with this, but I can provide one possible suggestion. Make sure you're not trespassing. If you trespass in buildings, the owners will be mad at you. Nobody else will help you out. If you attack the homeowners attacking you, the cops will likely get mad at you and start shooting you.

If it's random people randomly attacking you even in public areas, and you're experiencing this issue, I don't know much. I haven't really had this issue.

People break into your house to take weapons. Keep anything that is a melee weapon on a car trunk. You usually spawn with a car anyway. For guns keep the ammo and the firearms in different containers. NPCs will attack you for trespassing or committing random acts of violence/vandalism.
Saying sorry will get a lot of them to leave you alone. Not police though, run away if you aggro them.

I've found out a lot of the ways to get people mad at you, but I didn't know 'sorry' actually did anything. Will keep that in mind

also be careful with aiming. sometimes you aim to pan the screen but that aggros them if you have a weapon in hand. it's better not to have weapons in hand.
