Hi Edel, That's a feature not a bug, it was intended by DETrooper. However I can agree that it is an odd experience. In future planned scripted mechanics, things like this are going to be important so for now just RP with it the best you can. :)
(BTW It should only effect the HRE and Sicily and HRE factions with Military Access until Otto IV dies) and then just effect Sicily and the HRE and their war, you shouldn't be able to make peace. The original intention is for the factions to fight to the death however there are currently several missing things like I said, that keep that process from occuring properly, as well as other HRE mechanics but I won't go too much into that.
Also which faction and faction decisions are you referring to? Thanks! :)
Retuiers for County Of Tolouse .When charging the units do have their lances or spears whatever they are called.But then when they are supposed to pull out their secondary they just have nothing lol .Its like they are playing boxing on their horse.Pretty funny lol.
As for the decision part it was about the County Of Tolouse as well. I tried to become an Empire but it wouldnt let me even though i had all the settlements required even more. In my playtrough i converted to Cathar Christianity so i dont know if that was the case and if the game required of me to have stayed catholic to become an empire so i dont know;
I've forwarded this to the 1212 team, thank you! :)
The 1212 mod? I'm not a developer. This is just a submod for the time being.
As soon as my leader dies, I lose to position as HRE, even though there isnt a pretender. Is this a bug or a feature that I have missed?
The HRE doesn't follow a hereditary system until a specific reform is enacted (you can find the details in the HRE panel).
Each time the emperor dies, a succession and election take place. Your faction will only retain the imperial crown if it holds the majority of electoral votes at the time of the emperor's death. This means your heir can still become the next emperor without hereditary reforms, but it requires careful political maneuvering
Woah, first time I've heard of this issue. If you add me on Discord I can work with you on a solution or at least figure out what's wrong.
