Alright, when i have spare time i'll write to ya!

I appreciate this approach, teaching new people is a very good thing.

I do some small modding for ARMA 3 so there's a chance i might have the patience for this ;D

@Robert.G Reach out on discord I'm just "tycherious" there too, we'll show you how to make your own. It might take a couple hours to get everything together and learn how to do it but in effect it should be very simple and straightforward. Plus the more people modding the better. :)

I'm suggesting this as a stop-gap solution for players who want to enjoy the T2/High period rosters and units.

Going through the game normally until you get access to them is tiring, and doing it with 1Turn research is not only tiring, but also does not guarantee that the AI get that research.

This is an opportunity as nobody has made a mod like that so far from what i know, and the 1380AD campaign is still far away.

Greetings, i've been using many of your mods/submods for a while now and they are great.

I wanted to ask if it would be possible to make one/how much work would it actually take.

For a really long time now i've been looking for a mod that makes it so the 1212ad campaign uses high period units as thats my favourite timeperiod. So far no luck there.

Just waiting in the campaign for research or using 1turn research mods also doesnt help as the AI will always quickly get to the late units.

Is there any way to unlock the high period units and lock access to the late ones? Or the possibility of making a mod like that?

I will be doing a gaming/history stream soon with the 1212 AD mod. The thing is, names for the forces I am using are not correct for the period. I'd like to ask you if you know any way we can get either a script to enable and work a console/command interface to make changes, or just clip the script and UI graphics from existing renaming features in RPFM and build one for characters.

@Sovreign Use my workshop collection for reference. It's setup in the correct load order. The only mods that are needed are the core mods, add whatever ones you like on top of that and just follow the order you see em in.

That shouldn't be happening. Are you using submods outside of my collection? If so, reach out to me on discord with a screenshot of your entire load order and mod collection.

If not, try deleting and reinstalling all of your submods.

Love your mods and scripts, but im having a bit of a problem when playing HRE. I peaced out with the kingdom of Sicily, and afterwards i then got Otto killed on purpose, hoping that it would make the excommunicated debuff go away, but here 4 turns after it is still there. Any ideas what i have done wrong? Should i have him assassinated instead? Btw i downloaded all the mods and scripts from your collection "Tycherious' MK1212AD"

Hi @Tycherious, thanks for your explanation. It really helped me to start modding and read documentation :)
Unfortunately I didn't find where to change the reference of certain cities to certain battle maps. It's not in those tables you mentioned, maybe it's even hardcoded, or I need to dig deeper, maybe modders who work directly with custom maps can help. But we'll see!
But I found another solution to fix the map issues, just replaced it with the vanilla one :) I know it's not a fix, but still something. Now you can enjoy sieges and defenses without problems on those specific maps.

I got inspired and added even more different mods and replacements for City port from GCCM package, most of them for Rus or barbarian like factions. But if you are interested, you can check them out on my page. I have also included your mods in my collection Trickster's MK1212 Essentials v1 with MK1212 compatible mods.

Open the mod’s pack file in RPFM which is likely 1212compbuild.pack.
Locate the settlement–battle-map lookup table in the DB folder within the pack.
In the left panel, navigate to db → campaign → db → campaign_battle_map_tables (folder names vary slightly by mod, but you’re looking for tables with names like settlement_battle_map_lookup or campaign_battle_map_variation).
If you don’t see “settlement” in the table names, use the Search DB tool (magnifying-glass icon) and search for gardinas— If that doesn't work you'll have to do some digging for the battle-map 'key' that represents gardinas. I don't know this because I haven't messed around with those DB's yet but it could be something like battle_map_gardinas.

Edit the Gardinas entry
Change the BATTLE_MAP_KEY (or battle_map_name) column from its default value to kraków (use the exact key that the Krakow map uses—often it’s battle_map_krakow or simply krakow).

Hi @Tycherious,

My question is not related to your mods, I like them! But in 1212 there are some bugs with cities and their battle maps. I would like to ask you if you know where I should look and if it is possible to change the battle map for a specific city at all? Because fixing the battle map is probably a more challenging thing.

For example, for the city Gardinas I want to use the battle map from the city of Krakow. I'm sure this is one of the settings that should be changed, but it's hard to find where to look, even with Chat GPT ))

@tycherious I adore this mod pack, but I am often experiencing a game-breaking bug that stops me from playing it: most new turns, I cannot move my armies, attack or even click end turn. I suspect this is because an "event" or "decision" comes up, but my game does not display it for some reason, so I cannot resolve it, and I am stuck. I do not know what to do. Please help. I love your mods

At the top of this page is a collection for Tycherious MK1212 collection, it shows all the mods and in what order. Ill try downloading them all and let you know if it works but I thought the other overhaul mod negated having all the rest.

I got the issue that either one is missing or they don't have the "Suggested order" which I have tried several times but it wont still work with all parts of the mode downloaded...could you please update the list and order in Mod manager?

Brother please, I am an idiot. Which mods do I need to run your 1212 and what order? I have the script update, your updated overhaul, and the asset update for battlemaps, effects, and campaign. The game just loads for an hour straight. Am I doing something wrong? I am new to this, sorry.
