Proposals to region enhancement
Post areas/regions that you would like to overhaul and (if possible) provide links to some of the historical maps/articles that could help in the process. Also you could mention mods that overhaul some specific region and I will try to ask their devs for permission to integrate them into Comprehensive Map.

id suggest maybe a middle east/north africa rework, for an example adding syriac and assyrian cultures (aramaic group?), as well as making the coastal regions of Lebanon and Syria catholic (Lebanese maronites) and Coptic (Antioch Patriarchate)

Also, i noticed the lack of Cilician armenians and Cappadocian greeks in inner Anatolia, considering they were majority in a few provinces added by the mod. maybe also make Turkish and Azerbaijani be in the tatar group, would make more sense historically.

as for the provinces itself, i think theres quite a good amount in the region, and adding more could maybe make some countries too unbalanced or affect performance so

nice mod btw, im really interested in the future of this lol.

also, for egypt, would recommend adding the Copts along the Nile and in Alexandria, them still being quite a significant group in the region (edit: east coast and inner egypt should also be beoduin, considering the region was very sparsely populated, and not by the egyptians we know nowadays)

btw, sugla and ordu appear to be turkish and/or muslim for some reason, though they should be greek and orthodox at the time as far as i know.

For North Africa, the region kinda needs a big cultural rework (paradox really didnt research properly for that region lol), maybe splitting Berber into its subgroups like Djerban (Djerba), Kabyle (Kabylia), Rifian (Melilla), Shilha (Sus and Tafilalt), Mozabite (Mzab), Chenouan (Chenoui, between Oran and Algiers) and Chaoui (Biskra).

Possibly also splitting the Berbers and Tuaregs into their own group (Berber group), while keeping the others (Tripolitanian, Tunisian, Moroccan and Algerian) in the original group, as a way to represent the split between arabized and non-arabized north africans.

Thanks for the input! I will definitely explore more detailed christian settlements in asian parts.
Next update will cover Africa but it won't introduce those religions/cultures yet.
I will work on content update afterwards that will add more crusader and Byzantium flavour.

@Carteira de Trabalho I have an interesting finding. This mod is compatible with Religions and Cultures Expanded which brings aramaic cultures. Here are few screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/MOpAYC4

Looks very cool. I think I will expand upon that mod a bit and add those cultures to "vanilla" Comprehensive Map

nice idea, i was just playing with that mod btw lol
i think you could maybe make this mod have some sort of integration with Religions and Cultures Expanded, as it will save you quite some time of adding new cultures n stuff.
yo, btw, as i see u did the african update, ill give some ideas for fixing cultural innacuracies in the region:

-Beja culture should be Chushitic
-Bioko (fernando po) should be sawabantu, and sao tom no culture/no religion (uninhabited)
-Malagasy should be Malay group, as well as the Madagascans (highland malagasy)
-Tenerife should be uncolonized and Guanche/Animist (not colonized by Castile by then)
-Edo (kingdom of benin culture) and Igbo peoples in southern nigeria
-Maba and Fur people in the Darfur region (around the same area Tunjur is in)
-Twa and Vazimba (Pigmy african tribes) around congo region

Nice! I will add it to notes and maybe next update will cover those

btw, i found a couple errors in the continent stuff, presov (slovakia region), Ostrakov in Russia and some Nile provinces in Egypt are in the Asian continent for some reason, i found out about it while playing portugal as they were considered overseas for western europe lol.

also, Ordu (pontic region) is still muslim even though its pontic culture (some province in inner kenya also appears to be muslim, even though its completely surrounded by fetishist ones) dont think it was supposed to be like that lmao.

nice work on the africa update btw, i think it really made the region better, especially the sahara and congo areas (which in vanilla are wasteland for some reason), now i can finally do accurate portuguese stuff in africa lol.

LOL, I have just discovered game has "Overseas Provinces" map. This helps a lot while fixing the continent

ikr, a lot of the map modes in the game are kinda useless for normal gameplay but they help a lot for modding n stuff.
There is a mod which expands on cultures worldwide for the vanilla map, could it be possible to integrate some cultures into your mod?

@arandomgamer23 That's a nice mod. I wonder if Religions and Cultures Expanded cover all those cultures too. You could try it in the meantime as it should be compatible with Comprehensive Map
