Revan's Revenge FAQ
Here's a FAQ listing some info and common questions for Revan's Revenge. Contents will be updated as needed by the team.

What is Revan's Revenge?
Revan's Revenge is a mod encompassing the period of the Mandalorian Wars to the Jedi Civil War in the Legends Expanded Universe continuity, based heavily on the media of Knights of the Old Republic. Players can pick between three factions, the Galactic Republic, Sith Empire, and Mandalorian Clans on their quest to unite the galaxy beneath their banner.

What maps are there to play?
Currently as this is a 0.5 beta release there is only one standard progressive map compared to FotR and TR, Known Galaxy Medium. There are four eras to select within them:

Era 2 (Default): 3964 BBY, the start of the Mandalorian Onslaught
Era 3: 3962 BBY, the aftermath of the Mandalorian Triumph.
Era 4: 3959 BBY, the beginning of the Jedi Civil War.
Era 5: 3956, the late Jedi Civil War.

Different size and scope variants of these maps will be added as the mod is updated. In addition there are four unique historical for Revan's Revenge first release, encompassing a time period you can progress too from the beginning in Outer Rim Wars all the way to an alternate history scenario where the Mandalorians successfully breach into the Galactic Core.

Additionally in Infinities section there is the classic EaWX mode From the Ground Up, a challenge mode not recommended for new players where you start with only one planet with your selected faction. After that is the Custom campaign, a mode where players are allowed to set up a sandbox game where they can choose their faction placements and unit options.

I'm new to Empire at War/EaWX mods, where should I start?
Revan's Revenge comes with a tutorial GC version of the initial historical, Outer Rim Wars. Players looking to ease themselves into the mod are recommended to try that first as it goes over most of the major mechanics you'll need to be aware of, while also letting them experience the narrative content of the historical campaigns.

Who do I play if I want to use Revan/the Ebon Hawk?
Revan starts as Supreme Commander of the Republic military in era 2-3 starts on progressive maps. In era 4 Revan is with the Sith as the Sith Master at the start of the period. In era 5 Revan is back with the Republic in their Ebon Hawk form, accompanied by up to two party members as in KotOR at a time. These party members include Bastila Shan, Carth Onasi, Juhani, Jolee Bindo, Mission Vao, Zaalbar and HK-47. Currently Canderous Ordo is not available in the party but will be in future updates.

What is this Star Forge I'm being asked to attack?
The Star Forge is an off map factory station for the Sith. The Sith faction is able to build Star Forge relays at maps with Star Maps (Korriban, Dantooine, Manaan, Kashyyyk, Tatooine, Sleheyron) which allow them to build at the highest shipyard level on that planet and produce unique variants of certain Sith space units there. As the Republic or Mandos, conquering these planets will allow you to find the way to the Star Forge, launching a massive battle that ends with its destruction and locking the Sith from its usage. As the Sith, once you have conquered a large portion of the map, a final battle will trigger where your enemies will try to take out the Star Forge in a last desperate attempt.

What is the Rule of Two system? Why am I being forced to choose between two heroes?
The Sith Empire's government mechanic encompasses the Rule of Two, the struggle for power between the Sith Master and Apprentice. The Sith can have up to one Master, one Apprentice and two Acolytes at a time in descending rank order. Every cycle as the Sith the apprentice's ambition meter will go up by 1. When it reaches 100 the apprentice will challenge the master, forcing the player to select between who wins, with the loser being removed from your hero pool. This will also open up a new apprentice from the current acolyte options, with Sith heroes in the system getting progressively stronger as they go up in rank, increasing their durability and adding new powers for them.

Why do the Sith start with Interdictors/Centurions?
As the mod is an initial release we do not want to limit rosters yet from their base level. As new units are added in the future mechanics to unlock options that should canonically appear later will be available instead of them being out the gate.

Will the mod go up to The Old Republic timeline and include content from it (i.e. Harrowers)?
Currently the mod is only planned to up to the Dark Wars, aka the period or KotOR 2. While relevant things to the period of Revan's Revenge featured in TOR are or can be included, currently a proper expansion into that portion of the timeline and its accompanying units are not planned.

I've encountered a bug while playing, where I post about it to inform the developers?
There is a bug reports page on the CoreyLoses Discord server (linked on the main mod page), titled #rr-bug-reports, as well as a pinned page on the mods workshop forum. For serious bugs it is preferred to post them on the CL Discord as that is where most developers are active and would see it.
