How To Use The Cultivated Beehive (WIP)
HydeCo Bees! Cultivated Beehive Mod Guide

*CURRENTLY BUGGED*
It looks nice but probably wont work properly just yet. further testing required.

*KNOWN BUGS*
- will not consume bait correctly and change sprites from empty to full.
- in the console when you are 75 tiles away it will say "Honey Bee Captured" but upon returning to the hive it will not have been updated with the bait remaining and the bee non existent essentially bricking the item and making it useless.. for now..

Overview

HydeCo. Bees! introduces a Cultivated Beehive system that allows players to "trap" honeybees and honeycombs over time. The beehive simulates the natural accumulation of bees and honeycombs, providing a sustainable source of honey-related resources.

How to Use the Beehive

0. Traps work 75 tiles away from the player. Set up slightly away from your base!!!!

1. Select "Place Trap"

2. Drag it to the desired Tile.

3. Place it.

4. Have Bait in inventory.

5. Hover Over Trap - Right Click, "Add Bait".

6. Choose Desired Bait.

7. Wait for beehive to go from (Lid Off ~> Lid On)

8. Acquire Bounty.

9. Repeat.

The Cultivated Beehive can be crafted or placed in a suitable location.

Ensure the beehive is placed in an area with access to natural zones like forests or farmland for optimal results.

Add Bait:

To attract honeybees and honeycombs, add bait to the beehive.

Effective baits include:

Highly Effective: Honey, Maple Syrup

Moderately Effective: Rosehips, Jam, Peanut Butter

Mildly Effective: Sugar, Dandelions, Violets

Wait for Accumulation:

Bees and honeycombs will accumulate over time during the day (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM).

Check the beehive periodically to collect resources.

Collect Resources:

Open the beehive to collect honeybees and honeycombs.

Use honeycombs to craft honey or other recipes.

Beehive Stats

Trap Strength: 50 (Durable and reusable)

Active Hours: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Zones:

Tips for Optimal Use

Location Matters:

Place the beehive in natural zones like forests or farmland for faster accumulation.

Avoid urban areas like towns unless necessary, as bees and honeycombs are rarer there.

Use the Right Bait:

For the best results, use Honey or MapleSyrup as bait.

Other baits like flowers and sugar are less effective but still work.

Check Regularly:

Bees and honeycombs accumulate during the day, so check the beehive daily to maximize your yield.

Sustainable Resource:

The beehive is reusable and does not require rebuilding, making it a sustainable source of honey-related resources.
