I agree maybe need to tune it to continue the combo?
Windmill can't connect fully if the opponent di's the opposite direction.
Homing attack sometimes also allows the opponent to respond too quickly like flurry kick but can be used to extend air combos still.
Also while I know the emerald getting isn't meant to be there yet I hope it becomes a lot easier because having to leave that many turns empty 7 times is way too much.
Mods great though and the null problem people mention is a game/mod general issue if you don't already know so dw about it, clearing character cache fixes it for all mods.
