Rabbit and Steel

Rabbit and Steel

Ritualist Class
Balance Feedback
In terms of balance, Ritualist currently provides a high-damage playstyle revolving around an overtuned primary.

To show this, I performed some calculations with the two most similar base-cast Rabbits- Wizard and Dancer. These were made with the assumption of unlucky rabbits that don't get RNG procs to show the consistency of Ritualist in comparison.

Wizard Rabbit
Rotation - 2-3-1-1-1 (6.9s)

In Field:
1.2*(120+420+600) = 1368
1368 / 6.9 = 198.261 DPS

Out of Field:
(120+420+600) = 1140
1140 / 6.9 = 165.217 DPS

While their static DPS is extraordinary, Wizard Rabbit can struggle both when moving and when facing moving targets with their primary fire.

Dancer Rabbit

(Parentheses represents self-buffed damage from Defensive)

Dancer (Maximum Damage no RNG)
(3-1-1-2-1)-1-2 (8.4s)
1.2(350+90*6+75*2)+90*2+75*2 = 1370
1370 / 8.4s = 163.095

Dancer (Maximum Movement no RNG)
(3-2-2-1-2)-2-1 (8.4s)
1.2(350+90*2+75*6)+90*2+75*2 = 1310
1310 / 8.4s = 155.9

Dancer Rabbit gives a powerful support buff and can adapt their rotation on the fly for extra potential, but has a lower ceiling in comparison.

Ritualist Rabbit

Full DPS Rotation
2-1-1-2-1-1*-3-1* (9.4s)
(95*15) + 210*2 = 1845
1845 / 9.4s = 196.2765957

When focusing on damage, Ritualist achieves a similar DPS to Wizard's highest while taking a speed loss comparable to Dancer's highest damage rotation.

Full Support Rotation
1-1)-2-1-1-2*-(3-1* (9.4s)
1.15(95*9) + 95*2 + 630 = 1675
1675/9.4 = 178.191

Switching to providing support with the secondary results in a minor DPS loss, still beating the damage output of Dancer with only a 5% reduction in the buff given.

All of these calculations are to note that currently, Ritualist's primary provides too high of a reward for the minimal investment needed in making it work. Lowering the primary's damage to 80 instead of 95 would put it more in line.

(Calculations with 80 potency primary)
Full DPS Rotation: 172.340
Full Support Rotation: 160.6382979

Also, regarding the Special:

Currently, the alternate function as a laser feels undertuned compared to using it to charge your primary or secondary. The GCD's potential damage is far outweighed by the opportunity cost of not using it to skip the weakest part of your rotation for an immediate payoff.

I don't have as many ideas to solve this thought, but it will be incidentally helped by the reduction in power of the primary.

i actually had it at 80 initially but then I buffed everything because it was generally too weak on the first test but now with everything more reasonable yeah primary can definitely go back to 80

as for special... I'm fine with using it for damage being a "secondary" option, that you'd probably only do if you got special focused loot (or with a skill upgrade setup that focuses on it)
