-The items I sketch in the notebook are not appearing in the builder menu
-The builder's sketchbook doesn't seem to recognize some items (some lockers, the red tool chest, fences...)
Uploaded screenshots to imgur that try to illustrate what is happening, also to show that the sandbox options are set to both sketches and magazines. There were no errors encountered. Please let me know if you need anything more and I will try to provide it.

If I read the instructions correctly I think the items like the two sinks in the sketchbook should appear under Appliances_bathroom in the build menu, but they do not. Apologies if I am just missing a mechanic of the mod and thank you for what you do!
[Edit]
I got curious and launched in debug mode to see if I was able to see the recipes with the build cheat on but they still do not show up -- not entirely sure what went wrong for me so I am uninstalling and reinstalling to see if it will fix it.

the bigger issue i have though is that recipes dont get unlocked by sketching. hardly any of them. i tried with sketch + mag and sketch only but i can see the recipe in the build menu but the recipe icon is still red. not sure if this is a vanilla issue though as i also have an issue with stuff not unlocking that should unlock via level (in this case the stone chisel for example when hitting knapping 3)
after i found 2 magazines, the things these teach do unlock, so unlocking in general works, just the sketch unlocking not. no idea why.
stuff like the antique oven for example should be unlocked but its not visible in build menu at all, even after reading the mag.
and from the doors / windows magazine hardly anything appears in the build menu. only a couple windows (like 6-8 or something) but none of the doors. also, for windows like the arching window, those would need a wall with a fitting cutout as well, right? not sure if that exists
that leaves only the unlocking issue for me. here is a screenshot to show that i sketched it and that i have the necessary skill to build it but the recipe is still red:

Recipes you've unlocked (either by reading a magazine or sketching an object in a sketchbook) won't automatically appear in the build menu unless your character also meets at least one of the required skill levels for that item. This is intentional and designed to make the building process feel more grounded in progression.
If you enable the "show all building qualities" In the Build Menu option, you'll see all buildables, but even then, you can only build the ones your character has unlocked and has the proper skills for.
So in short:
Unlocking a recipe (via sketch or magazine) is the first step.
Meeting the skill requirement is the second.
Only when both are true will the recipe show up in the menu (unless you force visibility the "show all building qualities" setting).
I might remove this skill check completely because it causes confusion.
I have Sketch + Mags enabled in sandbox settings
I sketched the object and it appears in the sketch book which I have in my main inventory
I have the required skill level listed in the recipe in the building menu
So I can see the recipe but it has the red book icon in the building menu (indicating I have not learned the recipe) and the build button is inactive.

after sketching the red "You have not learned this recipe" icon was still present, reading the magazine that corresponded to the same tile then unlocked the recipe to be crafted
