The game previously utilized a zombie density map, or heatmap. However, that distribution is now uniform, and it appears future adjustments will occur through sandbox options or in-game events.
To see the past state, you can visit PZFans Raven Creek[pzfans.com]and click on "Zombie Heatmap." Then, compare it to the current situation on B42Map[b42map.com] (where you'd select "Zombies" on the left). While Raven Creek isn't available there, observing any other city will show you that the heatmap has been removed. It's been substituted with a uniform distribution that will seemingly be scaled up or down programmatically, rather than through an area-specific bitmap image.
Here's how Raven Creek appears in version B42: Actual conversión[imgur.com]
This specifically means that in areas like the southeast farm, you'll see fewer zombies. That's because it transitioned from having red density points (or hotspots) to simply being zombie respawn zones.
I've found that loot is a little odd. This is my first experience with Ravencreek.

The first area I spawned in had a TON of loot. I think its because the garages have different roomDef.names.
roomDef.name = storage (normal amount of loot in a residential garage)
x,y,z = 5444, 16239, 0
roomDef.name = garagestorage (insane amount of loot in a residential garage)
x,y,z = 5448, 15988, 0
I haven't looked at much else yet, as I don't want to spoil the mystery of Ravencreek. If this is intended loot balance, by all means. I just haven't experienced so much good loot in residential garages and found it odd enough to report. Confirmed via rerolling with lootZed a bunch. Those 6 residential houses on 0.4 apocalypse loot setting gave me everything I could need for a run.
Whoa, many thanks for all the specifics. To be frank, I haven't had the chance to play it yet either. For days, I've simply been getting back from work and diving straight into reviewing files and intricacies that could impact the functionality or user experience on the converted maps. What's your take on it? Do you feel this change is necessary? Is it how the original author envisioned it? Or perhaps a simple typo?
If it's a challenging location to access, perhaps the amount of loot is justified as a reward.
Is there any underlying lore for this map? From my perspective, the challenge seems to be navigating past the main entrance and then slowly clearing a path to set up a base. However, since I haven't actually played it, my judgment isn't truly valid

Seeing them that far into a major city would be a little wild tho lol.
