Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Shokuho
The enlistment is absolutely tedious at the moment.
I really like the mod at the moment, with rather few bugs and quick fixes from the first days. However, I'm on the verge of giving up for now because of the huge passivity of the lords, which ruins the enlistment system.

In my games with the Takeda or the Oda, in every war, the kingdoms never attack and do not create any armies except rarely when the AI creates armies to patrol. Sometimes, they even let their fiefs get captured. It is particularly frustrating to see Oda Nobunaga with a kingdom power of 3800 lose to the Iko Iki at 430.

As a result, being a simple soldier in an army is terribly boring. Everything is reduced to patrols between two towns and at best a fight against 2 bandits while the country is at war with 6 daimyos. :steambored:

I noticed it's a lot better if you enlist with a lord that doesn't own a city - everytime I enlist with a lord that owns a city, it's only a slow patrol from city A to village B to village C back to city A.
the enlistment in Gekokujo was excellent. Hopefully this gets fixed
I got into an unwinnable fight (down like 800 vs 500) pretty quickly upon enlisting but when I met back up he just went from town to town for like a year. When we finally stopped being at war I left service and it for some reason made me become a vassal of the kingdom so now I'm a clan tier 1 vassal with negative influence but I get free 40 gold a day from tributes.

It would be nice if there was a way to ask to be sent to the front lines and maybe they transfer you to a lord doing an aggressive mission without losing progress.

A point to be made is - don't join the armies of any of the Daimyo (same deal with Faction Leaders in modded Bannerlord), these Faction Leaders do not join campaigns, seldom lead campaigns, and do not aide allies in battles; as the Faction Leader AI considers themselves too important to the war effort to risk their own lives.

If you want more action, pick a vassal who holds fiefs on the borders of your chosen clan - they're more likely to be fighting, and defending their fiefs than the Daimyo are.

Unfortunately, even with lords who do not rule a kingdom, the problem is the same at the moment. As far as I understand, it's a known bug on Discord, and it's related to an issue with the city supply system that loops due to the system implemented in the native version. It should be fixed soon.

Even better! I'm glad they acknowledged it as a bug, and are addressing it. I just know that in Freelancer and other join as an enlisted man mods - the big guy on campus never really gets involved in the war efforts.
isnt this is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bannerlord ai and less of an issue with shokuho. This problem has been whined about on vanilla for years.

Love the feature. the the bannerlord AI makes it tedious and a complete waste of time. You can't find looters to train your skills, you can't leave the army when you want to to go train in the arena. I finally get into an actual proper battle and my commander just sticks me right in front of bows and guns so I instantly drop and get nothing done.

Whats the point of enlistment?

All well and good except the faction leader takes literally every party so im left with mine and mine alone
It's really stupid how your own faction starts hating you if you kill their enemies. My faction was on deaths door in a two front war and I resorted to killing enemy lords in order to save the faction. I ended up single handedly winning the wars but somehow I'm the bad guy for preventing us from getting wiped out? Makes no ♥♥♥♥♥♥ sense lol
