Can you level up promoted companions?
I've been trying out the promoting troops to companion feature and I can edit their inventory but they don't show up in the character or clan menu so they can't level up or be assigned to create a party

I noticed spouses can't create parties either so I don't know if these are both bugs or both features

Bug on your end. My promoted companion and spouse all work completely normally.

I don't have any other mods so it so be that. Do you have other mods running? Maybe i'll try installing them and see if that fixes anything

Yes I experience the same issue. I had the 3 first companions work as intended. I can level them up, create new parties and pick them as governors of my fiefs.

The next 3 companions I promoted through Distinguished Service are simply just present in the party. They can be given roles in the party, but are not visible in the Character screen and can not be given command of parties or fiefs. They are simply not present in the screens or menus for such mechanics.

My wife is not bugged though. She's eligible for all jobs.

I've only used the required mods.

Actually That is the same problem I am having though the promoted companion only drops from list after another companion returns from a quest. My promoted companions in towns and castle do not drop from list and I can upgrade their skills as they level with no problems.

Just sorted through the list posted above and the only one I think would matter is the Easy Respec one as it would allow you to modify the companion and maybe save it somewhere in the files and stop it from dropping from the list. Will try it and see if it fixes the problem.

Someone I watch had this issue, and had to send his companion on a mission, then when he returned from it he was able to update the companion.
