Abilities via pre-built Commanders?
Instead of making the battlegroups for purchasable commanders (which sadly most people don't own) or the recruitable officers, can you please make 3 commanders in the game with the abilities of the officers. Using artillery are air strike abilities through commanders would be much more fun. You may ask the creator of mods like Historical Commanders (30/30) or Commanders from Past how to make pre-built commanders. I hope you consider the idea.

I don't plan to change the game this much by replacing the commanders. You can use the CheatCommands Mod II to add the commander abilities which you want, which can be used in one match together with this mod.

This could be helpful in an other way that the useless commander passives can be neglected when making new commanders. A number of passive abilities of old commanders are useless in this mod. New commanders can be artillery specific, aircraft specific etc. It isn't hard to think of the ideas, though I don't know if it is hard to make them.

We cannot rely on the cheat commands mod because basically it's cheating ;p and thus unbalanced. We can call abilities without resources spent and that's no fun.
Your mod is great, but could have been much better if you can make some custom commanders as well. I hope you will consider the idea.

I understand that the Cheatmode isn't the best solution for this issue, but it's something. I'm not going to make custom commanders, but I am prepared to replace all useless commander abilities. It's not possible to include custom and DLC commanders at the same time.

This is a lot of work though and I think to will give the passive upgrades rather discounts then to replace them with something new. So everything that is unlocked by default will get a discount or something related to the original ability (like the battlegroups). I hope you can understand that this consumes a lot of time and I cannot promise that this will be updated soon. I appreciate your input and I hope you like this counter-idea. Please understand that I have to try to satify a lot of people which is a great challenge for me.

It may seem weird to have these Isakovich and Ania units, but I think it's cool to have the connection with the campaign.

Custom commanders would result in ±3 per faction instead of the countless which are already in game. It would be even more frustrating for people who actually spend money to them and cannot use them in this mod! Case closed.

I won't publish it on moddb to prevent version mismatch in online games, since it won't automatically update then.
