WC51 military transport truck? why even be a transport at all?
is there a reason the WC51 transport shouldn't be upgraded? why should it even stay as a transport?

compare it to its counter part .30cal WC51, it doesn't need to choose whether it could shoot someone or not. and its units can shoot outside

don't get me wrong the transport truck WITH the .50 cal is crazy good and it has detection which just allows me to clean out every pesty infantry out of their hiding, BUT that does go back to the question. Why even be a transport at all?

why shouldn't we just make it so that it cost the same to build it as you would to build and upgrade it. cut the middle man and actually have a the same outcome anyway.

It is a handy fast vehicle to capture territory in early game without the upgrade. The upgrade is delayed because of its strength.

can it atleast be slightly faster and/or maneuverable than a normal wc51? which losses it after the upgrade. it literally has zero advantages other than being a stepping stone for .50cal

like just a faster turning speed and/or very slight increased top or reverse speed (If top speed is too much pressure). this would at least make it a mid game infiltration transport. outmaneuvering every other transport with its superior drifts to keep whoever is inside them alive with proper micro. give some skill for players.

but if given a weapon it would get removed due to the weight or something idk.

its also a good way for it to be a fast action anti stealth, since it can traverse the battlefield faster than its counterparts

That sounds reasonable. The WC51 has terrible acceleration compared to any other light vehicle.
