I think this a pretty good balance. Maybe some input, but I like it.
On topic, It's interesting you split your stats between the two styles. It caught me off guard for a moment. I see now that both styles have a legit idea associated with them. I have no qualms with Style 2, but I think Style 1 might be on the high side.
70% bullet resistance =
- 17 scattergun blasts at point blank
- 3 seconds longer against a Heavy
- 16 seconds longer against a Sentry
- 17 regular shotgun blasts at point blank
50% explosive resistance =
- 7 rockets, 3 crit rockets
- 6 direct hits, 2 crit direct hits
- 6 grenades, or 2 crit grenades
- 6 stickies at point blank, 2 crit stickies at point blank
A Medigun heals at 24 health per second minimum. A shotgun against 70% resistance goes from 60 damage down to 18. A healed BullBatt Heavy in the right position is unkillable in the scenario. BullBatts would basically be the "Sentry-Killer" minigun, given you are now immune to Sentries when healed.
Is that reasonable? I'm not sure, but it does turn a single Heavy into a walking roadblock for the enemy team. Since it grants bullet resistance, it would be a classic "sticky bomb" scenario, where the only solution would be to spam BullBatts back at the enemy. Of course, massive rage Pyro would also be a solution, but given the stark contrast between the pros and cons, it is rather unlikely, and it would obliterate balance with respect to Engineers, Scouts, and Soldiers.
Ok thanks for the notification. I will consider this next time I post something. Great idea by the way.
I do like your stats and I hope this item is added into the game.
I really don't know what else to say
