Bulletproof Battery[OLD]
Stats
Now, Now, don't complain about having 2 stat discussions there are far more useless discussions on this item alone so don't b!tch...

...I come in peace

Seeing as how the 1st "Stats" discussion has over 300 comments I have posted this to give users the 2nd chance to actually be read

Style 1:
Pros: When Crouched and deployed:
+ 70% Bullet resistance from the front
+ 50% Explosive resistance from the front

Cons:
+20% Fire Vulnerability at all times

Style 2:
Pros: Deadly Sickles, can destroy enemies in front of you while deployed, splitting them in two
Upon Contact with the sickles enemy receives 150 dmg/s along with 5s of bleeding

Cons:
+ 30% melee vulnerability while active

I've tried this already and my thread was deleted.

+50% damage resistance
-50% overall movement speed
-25% spin up time

PROS
+40% damage resistance from front. (maybe part of the side.)
+15 faster firing speed
+50% amo

CONS
+20% slower spin time
-15% movent speed
-10% resistance from behind

I think this a pretty good balance. Maybe some input, but I like it.

@Nate, your stats were likely "merged" with the main thread. You should check your post history to see if your post still exists. I rarely do any moderation on these discussions, so it is probable that I merged them when the explosion of seperate stat discussions happened. I do not moderate often, and I make sure not to delete or lock any user content unless there is a VERY good reason to do so. The only things I've removed from these discussions so far have been spam posts and double posts.

On topic, It's interesting you split your stats between the two styles. It caught me off guard for a moment. I see now that both styles have a legit idea associated with them. I have no qualms with Style 2, but I think Style 1 might be on the high side.

70% bullet resistance =
- 17 scattergun blasts at point blank
- 3 seconds longer against a Heavy
- 16 seconds longer against a Sentry
- 17 regular shotgun blasts at point blank

50% explosive resistance =
- 7 rockets, 3 crit rockets
- 6 direct hits, 2 crit direct hits
- 6 grenades, or 2 crit grenades
- 6 stickies at point blank, 2 crit stickies at point blank

A Medigun heals at 24 health per second minimum. A shotgun against 70% resistance goes from 60 damage down to 18. A healed BullBatt Heavy in the right position is unkillable in the scenario. BullBatts would basically be the "Sentry-Killer" minigun, given you are now immune to Sentries when healed.

Is that reasonable? I'm not sure, but it does turn a single Heavy into a walking roadblock for the enemy team. Since it grants bullet resistance, it would be a classic "sticky bomb" scenario, where the only solution would be to spam BullBatts back at the enemy. Of course, massive rage Pyro would also be a solution, but given the stark contrast between the pros and cons, it is rather unlikely, and it would obliterate balance with respect to Engineers, Scouts, and Soldiers.

Ok thanks for the notification. I will consider this next time I post something. Great idea by the way.

I do like your stats and I hope this item is added into the game.
